can show how active a member is, or perhaps how long they've been here.. is also used by some members to boast or pump their ego's up a bit.

but mostly, its just a way to see who has posted the most, who is most active.

What Steve means to say is that post counts have no real use on a forum at all.

Yes.

Under your User CP, go to "Edit Avatar", and then under all the default avatars there should be an area for custom avatars. Just pick a file to upload as your avatar through there, and it should show up (assuming it's within the set limits).

Kai,if you were going to say something like that,it would have been better
if you had said nothing at all.

Well, actually there is one use for the post count: when you have 15 posts or more, you can post links and screens, so people with less than that can't start threads in the Hacks and Games showcases. That's the only practical use it has, though.

As I have said above, what is post count useful for????

Post counts are useful for.. Showing your a good active member of the Pc community. It's kinda useful if you want to post urls to websites (not forum boards) But yeah, it's cool.

It really doesn't matter. Other than the right to post links, it doesn't benefit you in any way, unless you're one of the douchebags that thinks having a higher post counts gives you the right to brag or be an elitist prick.

The question's been answered several times over, and now things are getting ugly in here.
SlipKnoT, watch the language.
Allstories, that was totally uncalled for.
