Hey folks, so I recieved a bunch of cards from a friend who didn't want them any more and found a few gems in there, I'd just like to know if they're fake or not and what they're worth~

They're all legit and most of them fall somewhere between $1 and $5 in value, but I don't have the energy to give you specific prices and details tonight.

You should be able to use the attachment function to upload it from your computer (uploads from URLs are kinda broken at the moment), for future reference.

But anyway, onto the card. It looks more like someone spilled ink onto it rather than a misprint. Either way, it's probably going to be worth less than the normal uncommon Base Set Dratini card, which is already worth $0.50 at best.

Just found my stash of mint(ish) 1st editions from childhood, is it worth grading?

So I never really played pokemon more than a few hands but bought a bunch of cards back when the game came out and I was in Junior High. I'm 33 now and just got them out of my moms attic. They all have plastic sleeves on them and most look near perfect They just sat in the cardboard bulk boxes and that was in a sealed plastic container. Some slight bowing on a few but more or less I'm wondering if I should have them graded since I've seen the values be so high if they are nice.

I've never had any experience with card grading so was just thinking of sending in a few of the most valuable ones and seeing what grade I get and then comparing those to the remaining cards to see if I could expect the others to grade the same.

All my cards are either 1st editions or shadowless with the 99 twice in the bottom of the card. So about as early as you can get. I just spent a few hours counting them. A (5, 1*) means I have 5 shadowless and 1 first edition for example.

Yep. I had 2 charizards. Sold 1 for 50 bucks on ebay a month after I got it. That was decent money back then for a 13 year old lol. Kicking myself now.

PSA grading costs $30/card (and is the preferred grading service within the community), so if PSA graded cards aren't going for at least $30 more than the ungraded version of a card, it's not worth getting graded. And 99.99% of commons and uncommons won't be going for that much more over normal value just for being PSA graded.

While they look like some sort of Flipz (or whatever the brand was called) cards, I'd need to see the back side to confirm.

wow yea at 30 a card that would be tough to do more than a few. Was hoping it was more like 10-15. I'll have to take them to a local comics store and see what they think of a potential grading. I have 0 experience looking at cards. These were really the only cards I've bought in my life. Actually my mom bought me almost all of these lol. I miss being a kid
