The other is not 1st edition or shadowless. I posted a picture of both of them.

The one on the right is the one in question. The green is just a bit darker.

It looks a fair bit more saturated in color but otherwise normal. That saturation does make me think there's a strong (but not definite) possibility it was a really well done counterfeit.

Wondering what grades from PSA these cards could get. A pre-grade, if you will, before I send them in.


This Volkner has two tiny specks of white on the bottom edges, hardly noticeable unless you're looking.


Unfortunately it has edge whitening on all 4 corners, albeit minimal. I hate how promo cards are always like this.

Thoughts? Thinking a 10 on Volker and 8.5 on Charizard? Thoughts?

I uh can't find actual prices for a Japanese Holon Phantoms booster pack. Intact Japanese booster packs are pretty rare outside Japan. If I had to take a stab, maybe $5?

Complete Topps set is worth about $25.

Not sure on the binder price or on the 14 holos you have, unless you're referring to the holos from the Topps set.

So this Base Set Unlimited Tangela 66/102 has what appears to me a manufacturing defect. This entire card is Holographic, and it is not even supposed to be holographic at all. If you look closely near the top, you can a seam in the Holo pattern which is typically cut out. My guess is that it received Holographic treatment in error, but the full card was hit since there was no cut pattern designated for it. The bottom boarder also looks larger for some reason. This is from my collection ages ago when pokemon cards initially came out, so I think a fake is less likely (only 10 year olds were even into them back then).

Any thoughts?

Edit: I just looked at it more closely, the card dimensions are actually smaller than my other cards.. I suppose it probably is a fake :/

Gardevoir Dark Explorers

How much is this card worth?

How many were printed? It is very hard to find online, yet I need it to almost finish my collection of Gardevoir cards...

This card had two separate English printings. It had a third Japanese printing, but it seems as though you would be more interested in the English ones.

It was first printed in Next Destinies.
Originally, an illustrator by the name of Mizue created the cards artwork.

Later, 5ban Graphics created this variant in Dark Explorers.
This printing was a white star rarity. This means it was kind of hard to get a hold of.

From what I can see, the card is worth around $74 AUD.

I would recommend posting an add however. See if you can find someone who would be willing to part with theirs for less than the average $74.

I already have one of those original versions on the way to me.

$74 is around ?56 for me, which is loads more than what I'd normally pay for a card. I can get one cheaper online, but first have to save up!
