What kind of Traveling companion Ash should have ???

Well, I hope they break the long-term tradition of having one male and one female travel companion. There's nothing wrong with two girls or two boys is there? As well as that, I have a good feeling that Viola will be joining Ash very soon.

Agreed, except I'd prefer it if Alexa stuck around the group instead of her sister if the speculation about Ash, Alexa, Clemont, and Bonnie are to be proven true. Which I would be all for by the way. The group dynamic of four people hasn't been really done since the Advanced Generation and when it was, I loved it. I'd like to go back to that again for the X and Y Series and put Ash in the role of a mentor to Bonnie similar to how he was with Max. I would also like to see Alexa being sort of a mediator to Clemont and Bonnie whenever they're fighting, as a callback to her relationship with her sister.

There's more diversity and opportunity for better storytelling when you have a group dynamic of four people compared to just three. When they range from different age groups like the speculation here, then it's all the better and gives viewers of different age groups something to relate to and look forward to watching.

Regardless of who gets put into the group though, I do hope the writers go with four people instead of three.

Oh, that's a point I hadn't really explored- that there would be different relatable age groups. I'd actually be impressed with that cause you know... it'd actually show that they're aware of their audience. I think Alexa should be an independent Character rather then Ash's sidekick or a Fanservice!!!
She should travel on her own and sometime appear to give Ash important info .
Also It would be cool if she's seen investigating on ''Team Flare'' Activity !
As I said before , Kids Believe all Story has a Hero & Heroin .
Why do you think almost all classic Fairy Tail is about a Hero saving a Princess .
Even All 90's Kids Anime such as Doreamon , Perman , Ninja Hatori etc has a heroin & Romance!
Therefore I believe The Anime need cast girl who play the role of a Heroin and show's her ''Dere'' side toward Ash .
Its Completely Stupid to ditch Romance saying Pokemon is a Kids Anime and it doesn't need Romance !
Bottom line is , Pokemon is Anime that need Audience and A huge part of Pokemon Fandom are Shipper .
Pokemon Anime Should use them , Not Ditch them !

Misty didn't do anything in Kento series accept support Ash and Showing her ''Dere'' side toward Ash .
She didn't even had a Stable Goal back then .
Yet She's the most Popular among all Pokemon Cast girl .
Because She played the part of Heroin back then.
Even May failed to match her despite being more developed and better Eye-candy then her .
Because She shown her ''Dere'' side toward Drew , Not Ash !
Now it stupid to wait for Misty .
Instate Writer should create another heroin to is good eye-candy and show her ''Dere'' side toward Ash .
Or A Cute *****y Female Rival who show her ''Dere'' side Toward Ash .

With canon ship, shipping fandom could fall.

Since writers want to direct anime at younger kids, romance is not needed.

Who said anything about Cannon Shipping ???
Kids Anime need Romance that keep them excited like an ''One-side Crush'' .
However , Kids Anime Romance doesn't need to go as far as Confession Or Dating .
Cannon Shipping only work at the last part of the Series !
Until then , The Character will keep suffering from his/her One-side Crush and his/her Love interest show indirect hint's !

Hold up here. Ash's goal is to become a Pokemon Master. His goal is not to get a girlfriend. Therefore romance is not necessary. It'll be too awkward for me to watch, plus I will cringe everytime I see it and the show will be simply banned. Ash is 10 years old FFS. He is just a kid, not a teen. If there are some fans of the show that want to see Ash in a relationship they simply need to stop watching it. No one is forcing them to see something they don't like.

I would like Ash to travel with Shauna and Tierno. (Trevor would be cool to join the group because he will compete with Ash on filling up the Pokedex)

I'm pretty sure most crush-like hints of PokéShipping were Played For Laughs or Dub Text. Everything else can really be read as close friendship, which is just as valid as unrequited crush.

As for Alexa, I don't expect her to be anything less than her own character. She's already been showing that she's independent and I don't think she's been used at all for fanservice, despite being the only reasonable one in Decolora to turn to for that.

I have to say, this is the first time we'll have a 4 person group since Hoenn, but this time it's two guys and two girls. Something that was well-needed. Clemont was an interesting choice for the male Gym Leader companion but the trailer probably gave it all away, and he's got a Dedenne? Wow first time an Electric rodent is owned by a male companion, since we had Dawn with Pachirisu and Iris with Emolga. And Serena I assume is filling the stereotypical female lead, like Misty, May, Dawn and Iris before her.

I'm sure Serena can. Clemont is probably used to taking care of himself and Bonnie. But will they all be able to work as a cohesive team at mealtimes and such? Who will be the mediator of the inevitable arguments? I can see Serena breaking up Clemont and Ash, Ash breaking up Clemont and Bonnie, but not so much Clemont or Bonnie breaking up Ash and Serena. Will the writers handle swapping roles well, do you think? If this is the true quartet, they're going to have to.

Well , Ash been traveling for 5 year .
So , I think he should a pro at taking care of himself & Other .
He could be the plan-maker while Clemont is the ''Database'' who provide Ash with necessary information for Planning.
You can say-

-Ash will be the ''Wisdom''

-Clemont will be the ''Knowledge''

-Serena will be the ''Straight-man''

-Bonnie will be the ''Learner'' !
