What makes you like a certain pokemon?

What sorts of pokemon do you like? or a certain pokemon e.g. i like pichu because its cute.
and what kinds of pokemon do you like?

i've aways had a soft spot for cute pokemon who are secretly tough and Pokemon who appear to have inner strength. I like Mightyena and Vulpix as two examples

I've been a fan of Poison-pokemon for a while, especially ones that also learn confusing attacks and/or evasion-increasing attacks, because of how deliciously sinister that strategy is.

I mostly enjoy Pokemon who have appeal due to wings making up a good portion of their bodies, lmao.

Gliscor's appeal comes from Ash's. It's charismatic, and I like its color scheme. :P

I like Vulpix because I saw this trading card of it when I was a kid and the card gave me this warm feeling inside.
Many of the Pokemon I like, usually I like them for a certain moment that made me want to admire them.

Mostly thier type, and looks... for me Water and Psychic. I tend to go for pokemon that have some resemblence to stars, and humans, and ones that are just downright adorable.
Or if Sabrina owns them. XD

haha I love how Poliwrath just randomly got fighting thrown in. I mean it doesn't make sense to me that a tadpole Pokemon would really be that buff. But then you look at it and it all makes sense

the rest of my favorite Pokemon though are really just kinda random.

I love the poison type most for the reason Timbjerr stated, but as a whole I prefer female pokémon which look threathening and intimidating. I am not a fan of cute Pokémon (that's my sister's catagory) but I quite like beautiful ones in some occasions. But ugly and fearsome pokémon like Muk and Drapion are the best :3

Well, I personally like every type, but I guess there's a bonus if the Pokemon is fire, dark, or ghost. Usually, it depends on what it looks like, and sometimes what it evolves from. Cuteness/coolness is a factor, too, and I usually like Pokemon that no one else remembers. Octillery, Nidorina, Parasect, and Unown, just to name a few. Now that I think about it, there are very few Pokemon that I don't like. -shrug- Guess I'm a fan of at least 490 of them. xD

Edit; I tend to go for female starters and female Eevee a lot, too. Why is the ratio so low? It's ridiculous, but I still manage to snag me a gal pal.

yeah, I always use slightly odd pokemon which no-one uses for a proper team :P
right now in my FR team, I have Parasect, Farfetch'd and Golbat, for example :P

I mostly decide what I like based on how they look and occasionally based on their moves. :P

I like fire pokemon and psychic pokemon. Espeon is one of my pet faves in the psychic department while Infernape, Blaziken and Typhlosion tie for my favourite fire Pokemon.

I love Pokémon that look beautiful and that aren't used so much. Like Lopunny,Mismagius and...my favourite Pokemon,Gardevoir.
Gardevoir looks human like and it has that nice "dress" Aha,oh my,I just love them,everyone are so beautiful..

My favorite pokemon are the glitches, such as Decamark (RS only) and missingno. (found in gen. 1) They have this certain air of mystery that just makes me want to keep hunting them despite the rumors that they mess up your game.

I like quirky-looking pokemon, ground and poison types and those based upon my favorite animals. Zubat, Hippopotas, Oddish and Octillery - they're just so endearing!
