What nicknames do you give to your pokemon

After I read the Johto Pokemon Adventure series comics I ended naming all my with the end of taro including my trainer (Almost exactly like what gold did)

My trainer always either:Kentaro or Rintaro( always had that name after watching metabots)
And my pkmn was either called:

Chimchar - explotaro (named after Gold's cyndaquil)
Shinxs - zparktaro
buizel/floatzel - jetaro
Roselia - Pointaro
Starly - wingtaro

Though before that I did name them something else

Chimchar - zippo
Shinxs - sparky
Buizel - aqua
Roselia - point
Starly - U-turn

Weird aren't I

I don't really like giving nicknames to my Pokemon, because I can't think of anything funny/cool to name them anyways.

The only exceptions are Squirtle, Bulbasaur, and Charmander

i name my pkmn after my dogs,my long gone rabbit,hamsters,guinypigs and i name them after me.
i give some of them c*ap names like
pikachu-pika
any electric type-zap/shock/sparks/volt/thunder/bolt.all really rub
fire types-molt/burn/melt/flare/flame.

--Anime characters (Serena the Persian, Misty the Togepi, Rouge the Chimchar, Luna the Skitty)
--Game characters (Diddy the Infernape, Zelda the Gardevoir, Saria the Venusaur, Tails the Floatzel)
--Disney characters (Ariel the Vaporeon, Sebastian the Krabby, Meeko the Linoone)
--Foreign words that suit the Pokemon (Luce the Ampharos, Estrella the Staraptor, Umi the Gyarados)

I tend to name them after other pokemon.
For instance, my Empoleons name is Persian.

Mine are generally random, but usually after somthing related to the pokemon, like, Icy the Glaceon, Electroman the Amphros (that one's after the Calvin Harris song though) and Choppy the Farfetch'd. Also, I always call my starter Flames (if it fits obviously, I'm not gonna have a Piplup called Flames)

E.g rattata = ratty

I typically give my Pokémon mythological names, depending on my mood. Other times, I'm just a jerk.

I tend to name them after other pokemon.
For instance, my Empoleons name is Persian.

My most recent Dustox is named Pidgeot. xDD

I have a Vileplume named Aphrodites (goddess of love/beauty)
