So we now know we're getting some new forms for old Pokémon exclusive to the Alola region - which Pokémon would you like to see receive these new forms? Which typings would you like to be given to old Pokémon? Really interested to hear some ideas.

I just hope that the variants span to more than just a few Gen I pokémon. Given that Vulpix and Sandshrew are version exclusive in RBG, I'm kind of hoping this is hinting at their exclusive counterparts - Growlithe and Ekans - having variant forms as well.

    For Gen 1:
    Crystal Onix
    Lava Grimer Line
    Gen 2:
    Ice/Dark Houndour Line
    Ghost/Fairy Misdreavus Line

Don't know for the rest yet.

There is a rumor that the Arcanine line will be Water (rumor predates the reveal by like two weeks or so, so it's highly likely that it's true).

I'll like to see Gyarados. I want it to be either Water/Dragon or Fire/Dragon. Hmm, maybe the Alolan Magikarp is as strong as the original Magikarp mentioned in one of it's pokedex entries.

Larvitar's line would be good candidates as well. Perhaps Steel/Dragon.

Honestly, I love the idea. Though it is kinda hard to say which I would like to change. They are basically Delta Species from the TCG. But here is a list with no specific reasoning.

    Flygon - Bug/Fairy
    Kingler - Fire/Poison
    Noctowl - Dark/Psychic
    Braviary - Fighting/Flying
    Ariados - Dark/Ghost
    Donphan - Dark/Fighting
    Tyranitar - Dragon/Fighting
Gardevoir - Electric/Ice (Insurgent made me)
    Gallade - Electric/Fire
    Milotic - Dragon/Fairy
    Tropius - Fire/Ground
    Yanmega - Dragon
    Lilligant - Fairy
    Krookodile - Steel/Fighting
    Jourgeist - Fire/Dark
    Treverant - Fire/Dark

Well, Kiawe is a Fire-type specialist and has a Marowak, so Fire Marowak confirmed?

I would prefer Alolan Flygon and Yanmega being Bug/Dragon instead of Bug/Fairy, and pure Dragon respectively.

Good idea with Gourgeist, and Treverant.

I think these forms are a really cool idea. Some different ones I'd like to see are:

    Starmie - Ice/Dark
    Magcargo - Steel
    Ampharos - Fairy/Fighting
    Houndoom - Dark/Fighting
    Swellow - Fairy/Flying
    Lunatone - Ice/Fairy
    Solrock - Fire/Fairy
    Luxray - Dark/Dragon
    Vespiquen - Poison/Fairy
    Drapion - Ground/Fire
    Toxicroak - Grass/Fighting
    Yanmega - Flying/Dragon

All I would really like to see is a Steel-type Weavile. I feel like they could do a fair bit with that, focusing heavily on the claws.

Pokefarm Q has some alternate type Pokemon, like Slugma and Magcargo replacing Fire by Water, Poochyena being Ghost/Dark, Houndour being Ice/Dark, Combee line being Ice/Bug, etc.

I saw it mentioned that Parasect should get an Alolan form where the parasite controlling it has died (because of the heat or something) and I fell in love with the idea.

Also a Grass/Fire Sunflora would be cool.

Make Dunsparce into a Fairy-, Flying-, or Dragon-type. Let the little guy fly.

And perhaps Skarmory could become something non-Steel if it isn't found in rough terrain, since that's the explanation for why it's a Steel-type.

My one problem with this is I see no good explainations to half the theories out there right now.

I see fighting suggested a ton for pokemon and see no way they'd ever become fighting without SERIOUS redesigns. These are more pallet swaps with some details edited. Executor got a neck and a tail, ninetails and vulpix are a bit more fluffy (rather than a smooth sleek coat) and white, sandshrew has a bit more thickness and is white sandslash got ice spikes.

That said pokemon i think could get a whole new form with that limit (pallet swap 2-3 tiny detail changes):

Krookodile line: Water Dark or Water Ground pallet swap to a dark swampy green, change the back spines a little, and give it vertical instead of horizontal stripes.

Rhyperior line: add some fire vents and make them much darker tada you have a rock fire type.

Scyther: Bug Dark, make it darker, straighten the scythes to more of a tanto blade, and boom ninja bug pokemon that I'd use far more than ninjask.

Politoed: Water poison, color him like a poison dart frog all is good.

Garbodor: poison steel, remake basically entirely into a scrap heap junkyard golem creature that is actually cool and terrifying.

Bisharp - Fairy/Dragon with scales and some fanciful looking rapier-style blades
Amoongus - Water/Grass type. I just really like the idea of that move pool on Ludicolo's typing.
Golem - Fire/Steel type, magma visible underneath its plates.

Seeing a fire type variant of Magikarp and Gyarados would be pretty cool! Maybe they live near or in a volcano or something! Water Arcanine also sounds pretty cool! I wonder what it would look like.

I would love to see fire-type Mightyena.
