Mine is a paranormal experience, so I wouldn't blame someone for being skeptical of this. I admit I've been a skeptic myself at times.
But as for the story, me and my brother were at a civil war memorial. Located in one of the most haunted places in our state. One of the myths about this place is a confederate solider who still roams around. Some people claim they see him running around in his uniform, other people claim they see him and he warns them to leave. There's this creepy looking shack sitting far off from the memorial, so of course we go and check that out.
You always hear about how when a ghost is present the room will turn cold. It was the middle of summer and this shack was absolutely freezing. My brother starts losing his nerve a little, talking about how something about the shack feels off. It wasn't like him, since usually he's stony. He starts going over that myth about the solider again. As soon as he says this, a loud gun shot blast goes off near us and a tree branch completely snaps. We immediately had enough and left.
It was my only paranormal experience, and I would say it's what keeps my belief. I would never go back to that shack...on my own. If someone ends up going with me then I would check it out again for sure. It's been a few years.
