Ontopic: I am curious what factors people are using to decide their teams

I am simply choosing my favourites. :3 There aren't enough Pokemon that I like enough to use, so basically I kinda have to go just by what I like, 'cause a lot of them, good as they are, just don't appeal to me enough, design-wise (e.g. chandelier; I don't dislike it but I don't like it enough to use it, either).

I'm not that sure what I will be using because my team always changes in the end after getting the actual game and being able to play mut most likely I will start either with Tsutarja which is the most likely to be taken starter by me or Pokabu. I completely diss that Mijumaru's final evolution. :'D

So, basicly I might have these when facing E4:
Jaroda/Enbuoo
Baokki/Yanakki
Gamageroge
Pendoraa
Warubiaru
Shanderaa/Ononokusu/Kirikizan/Denchura/Rankurusu/Desukan/Doryuuzu

But like I said I might just swap all these when actually getting to play these games. XD

LOL! I can just imagine this thing trying to enter contests or musicals (with you as one of the judges) and both she and Roserade are trying to audition and you give the role to Roserade, and when she asks, "What does she have that I don't have?" you'll reply, "Well, she's less fat, for one, and has better stats, too". :D

Hahahah well it is true, look at her hips!! And Roserade is so elegant, beautul and amazingly strong. And Roserade looks better of course. But still I guess "Big Thighs" is still okay to be on my team, just as long as she knows she will always be second to my Rosey :)

I haven't decided which starter I'm going to choose yet. I was going to choose Tsutarja, but I don't like it's final evolution and don't want to be stuck with that, so we'll see... But I don't think I would keep them on my main team anyway, since that's just so old school.

This is a very difficult question to answer. Obviously I'll have a load of runthroughs and probably do the Favourite Challenge about 6 times so I can train up all the Pokemon I really like, but on my first runthrough I'd imagine I'll have something like this:

I have decided that i'm going to use atleast these on my first playtrough.

Yea. I'm going to be using 2 Grass types and 2 Ghost types on my first playtrough. I couldn't resist ^_^

The last two will be a Fighting type and a Flying type but i have yet to decide which ones.

I just realised the team I posted before wouldn't work; I need a Surfer. First runthrough will be something like this instead:

There really aren't many Water Pokemon in this Generation. I'm not complaining, it irritated me that the GenII and GenIII Dexes were full of Water types. Another trend I've noticed is that there aren't many Pokemon who are primarily Special Attackers. The two together mean that good Surfers will be tough to find...

I'm so going for the 3-stage Pokemon.

I always loved Ghost Pokemon. My Pearl team, I had 2 in my team. If I could access Dusknoir, I would have gotten 3. May subject to change, oh, these can also be in my team.

The Grass Pokemon this generation looks cool!
