What're Your Catchphrases?

I earned a reputation this year for a preponderance of utterances of 'Yay!' and 'Yeah, sure' so much so that when I resigned from my editorial post at my university newspaper, the rest of the staff bought me a T-shirt with 'YAY!' on the front and 'Yeah, sure!' on the back as a leaving present!

'Yay!' comes from my general philosophy towards life: if more people say it and give each other hugs, there'll be fewer wars in the world. Therefore, I'm doing my bit to keep the peace in Libya!

'Yeah, sure' came about as a general dismissal of conversations I didn't really want to partake in. For example, if someone came to ask me about something, and I was doing something online, normally I'd half-listen then just say 'yeah, sure' afterwards to at least give the impression that I listened and/or cared. People soon got wise to this though... -_-
 
"There's always a way in." I am not a thief. I promise.

Also, I say "That makes sense." a lot, when things don't make sense.
 
I was just thinking about making this topic! Anywho, I have quite a few, some of which I use more than others:
"So that's pretty nice" - I use this when something is pretty nice.
"But I digress." - By far my most used. I use this when I digress.
"Really, [Name]?" - An expression of surprise, frustration or displeasure.
"Fair Enough." - When something is fair enough... or when something makes sense to me.
"I see a poser." - This started out as something I would say when seeing a poser, but has since extended to any attractive person... including the boyfriend...

Outside of specific catchphrases, I'm quite well know for short, sarcastic and quite mean barbs and for my long rants about insignificant things like cheese.
 
Probably my most used catchphrase would be "oh my developers", which was my cousin's response to the video where Steve Ballmer chants "developers". (She says it a lot too.) From that, I also got "holy developers!" and "what the developers".
I guess you could also call "Reversi!!" one of my catchphrases, because I say it whenever someone says "can you believe it?" or something to that effect.

I also use a bunch of outdated slang a lot, like rad, groovy, tubular, and far out.
 
Quite the interesting thread. The instant I read the topic, my mind went, "Naruto Uzumaki! The next Hokage! Believe it!" Still annoyed that it got taken out of the Naruto anime...

Anyway, I probably have a few minor nonsensical ones I can't think of right now. At the moment...

-"CRAP." Probably my go-to catchphrase; used anytime something bad/annoying happens.

-"MY GOSH." Rising in usage as of recent. Used when I encounter something horrendous or surprising. Or when I finish something that is UNNECESSARILY LONG/DIFFICULT.

-"What tha faa pawned!" Pronounced exactly like that. Abbreviated, this would be "WTF-pwned!". Used whenever I KO something brutally in a videogame (i.e., Super-Effective hits, awesome fighting combos).

-"[Lum Berry] wah-tha-tha!" Reserved for Pokemon Emerald mostly. Used whenever the (computer) opponent thinks they scored a hit and got the upper hand (usually by inflicting a status ailment on my Zapdos), and I laugh as my Zapdos' held Lum Berry does its work. :D Btw, you have to say the "wah-tha-tha" part a bit quickly.

-"Critical hit! It's super effective!" Yes, blame it on Pokemon Emerald. Whenever something succeeds in sufficiently damaging something else that is antagonistic, usually in videogames.

- [S-HIGHLIGHT]-_-[/S-HIGHLIGHT] That emote is practically my catchphrase on RuneScape whenever I want to facepalm/wallbang/headdesk.

- "...or I'll whack you with my 2h sword." Used on RuneScape whenever someone does something that makes me mad/annoyed.

-"I don't care". Uh...whenever I don't care about something.

-"HA! That's what you get!" I shouldn't resort to a vengeful state of mind... but this is used whenever I intend to retaliate yet something else in the environment or another circumstance/object "retaliates" for me without my effort being needed.

-"Grah! Keehaul it all!" Please blame that Team Aqua Grunt in Rusturf Tunnel who kidnapped Mr. Briney's Peeko in Generation 3 for this occasionally-used phrase of mine. Best. Grunt Catchphrase. Ever. :cer_boogie: Used whenever something doesn't go as planned in videogames.

-"Minna, miteite kure!" -Thanks, Marth of Super Smash Brothers Melee/Brawl. Usually said when I complete difficult videogaming tasks or battles.

Yeah, I'm a Digimon fan, and to be honest...no other phrase I've ever tried has quite been able to stick with me the way that one has. I use it whenever I can. If ya don't know what it means...Go watch Digimon Tamers. :3

"Hope leads to Disappointment"

That is my signature catchphrase and I am infamous for it on a certain Yugioh based forum. So famous that, when I attend large scale Yugioh events, some people renown me for the catchphrase. One guy was like;

"Are you that guy who says Hope leads to Disappointment?"

Anyway, other catchphrases are;

"Life is just a game"

"The end result is all that matters"

"Dominance isn't enough - I demand absolute supremacy!"

"Minimum effort, maximum profit"

"Innovation is the key to success"

"I don't need a life. I'm a gamer. I have many lives"

"This world is ripe for my taking!"
 
My catchphrases are usually bad words....so its not a good thing to put it here but other catch phrases are:

"nah......brah"and if I'm really feeling lazy I can put "but that requires me to (list verb here)

"Cool story bro." when someone is talking about something I don't care about or is irrelevant.

I also say "That sounds like a personal problem to me." a lot.

I use "You mad bro?", whenever someone I know complains about a minor problem/detail.

At school, I'm well known for saying "Sorry" ALL THE TIME.
 
Mine would have to be "that's game" It started when we used to play street fighter in school and every time the game was guarenteed to be my win. Like I hit them with a super or something. I would always say the quote.
 
Well I guess you could say my catchphrase would be "No ****" but I do not say that around the forums as there may be little children about and I do believe in independent rights and freedom of speech however there are certain forum rules that apply here that I must keep in mind when saying these things. My crazy catchphrase I will use often is "fail" as I say that a lot. It's also my clan tag in CoD Stunfisk Ops. One of my favorite words to hear, if it is being used right, is what the ****(wtf) as it humors me when people use it at an appropriate time such as "Never play Stunfisk Ops with a muslim. THE GREATEST PEOPLE EVER don't understand that your not supposed to bomb yourself." now I would say "Wtf"? Many may not find it as hippo as me but I guess I am different like that :)

stunfisk Ops? as hippo as me? applesauce? the greatest people ever? wtf! lol this website always amazes me with their applesauce tricks.
 
I usually say "I'm straight" a lot (which means, "No, I'm good.") a lot so i guess its my catch phrase :o
 
I stole the lyric "haters can make like bees with no stingers and drop dead" into my own sorta catchphrase. :D

Though lately I've been saying stunning/outstanding so idk maybe they're my new catchphrases.
 
"so good/bad" "ooh man" "no hope" "that awkward moment..." "QQ" "like a boss" "ayyo" "fudge"
i use these on the internet and irl. hehe
i got "so good/bad" "ooh man" and "QQ" from my maple friends :3

...that awkward moment when you fly into a tree and everyone's watching. qq
 
I have a tendency to say "no fake" alot...
You know, if something's true.
I also say "whatever" alot...
 
Hmm..*shrugs* Probably "To be honest" because I like to secretly imply that I wasnt being honest before, but now I am, to see who catches on XD. Or "Cool.." Also "..." If that counts. Usually Though I switch up "catchphrases" and use on or two for a little while, then switch, to see if anyone notices.
