What's the scariest thing you've experienced?

When I was 12 I actually had an aneurysm in my brain-- it ruptured while I was in hospital. I was fairly lucky to survive, since 40% of ruptured brain aneurysm cases are fatal. And even then, roughly 66% of the people who survive have some sort of neurological deficit afterwards.
Didn't get out of the hospital until a few weeks after. I was really fatigued and I felt numb for a few weeks after leaving hospital, and I still get headaches and feel slightly numb or fatigued every now and then, as longtime results of the aneurysm.

A close second is when I nearly drowned at the beach when I was 9.
That was some scary shinx.

i've been in almost serious car accidents before, people running red lights right in front of me and all that... to be honest though probably one of the scariest experiences i've had was when i was chased by a man and almost kidnapped when i was a freshman in high school. yikes.

Honestly, I'm scared right now. I go away for a couple of days, come back and a big chunk of the community is gone, hard-working mods, talented and creative builders, energetic people who made you laugh, knowledgeable mr. and ms fix-its, friendly shoulders to cry on, wise sages.

Many people here may not know me, but I have come to see this place as my home. To come home and see all of these empty chairs at empty tables just makes me want to cry. Its heart-breaking but also frightening because I don't know what the future holds. Its this state of limbo. There are more serious things that have happened to me in life but pokecommunity gave me refuge, a place where I could play games and chatter my head off and get involved in competitions, debate and look at pictures, meet cool people and be part of giveaways, gush about pokemon I like and just forget troubles. Now however I feel like I don't have my rock anymore, with the Pokecommunity at my back I could face anything scary. Now, part of my family is here and another part is scattered all over the net. It don't know how to deal with this stress, pokecommunity was how I dealt with stress. I wish I could hold everyone together, but I am reduced to a nervous heap because I can't and feel myself devolving from a proud Milotic back to a feeble Feebas.

I'm a cop. Approached a house on a call. The guy came out with a .357 magnum and opened fire.

Oh. Well, glad you came out okay. thank you for your service! :)

One year on Christmas Eve my brother, who was driving my family to our aunts for a party, got pulled over. And the cop was screaming at us to get out with our hands up and I started panicking. Someone reported that someone with a car like my brother's was playing with a rifle in the back and pretending to shoot people. So there I am leaning against a police car while they search us and my anxiety was spiking. I was scared they were gonna shoot me or my dad or brothers. I knew none of us didn't have a gun, but I was still scared. So cops find nothing obviously and they actually mistaken our ice scraper for a rifle. And that kids, is why I hate cops.

Home invasion back... 7(?) years ago. I'm still incredibly anxious about noises in the night to the point where I barely sleep if its windy/rainy/the neighbours/anything.

I wake up some nights to the smallest sound and have to breathe myself back down from a panic attack.

When I was a young kid(I wanna say 6 or so) my hair accidentally caught on fire. My brother and I were using those fireworks you twirl around(sparklers I think?) and he got a little too close to me and ignited my head. My parents were right there and put it out immediately but it definitely was scary and has always been scarred in my mind.
