From the poll, I went with Cardcaptor Sakura because I didn't see the "other anime" option. o.o;

Although, my favorite anime has to be the Negima series, The whole Haruhi Suzumiya series, Death Note, Cardcaptor Sakura, Pani Poni Dash!, just to mention a few.
 
I don't know that I can actually pick 1 favorite because I like so many of them.
 
Hands down, Yu Yu Hakusho. It has an outstanding storyline containing action, drama, science fiction, comedy, and a touch of philosophy. Nearly all of its main characters are likable and fleshed out well. In particular, Yusuke, Kurama, and Kuwabara are excellently written and undergo great development over the course of the series. Furthermore, its OST and animation are both fantastic. I also like its ending.

I've always liked Evangelion, Devil Lady and Azu Manga Daioh
 
I love Yu-Gi-Oh!, the first series anime. *___* It was only aired in Japan and never came to North America, so not too many people around here know about it, but I personally prefer it over the second series "Duel Monsters" anime (the series that 4Kids completely massacred and aired in NA ;;). There was much more character development, and not a big focus on card games. It had a wide variety of games featured, all of which I found interesting.
 
I have tons of favorites. I really can't choose. But I picked Naruto in the poll. I really love that anime so far. I also think Bleach, Inuyasha, Code Geass, Sailor Moon, Ranma 1/2, Pokemon(the old seasons), Yu Yu Hakusho, Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, and Fullmetal Alchemist are very good ones as well. The best of the best! Those are the few of my personal favorites.
 
Out of pure fandom and loyalty, I'd say Cardcaptor Sakura.

But at the moment, I'm in love with Lucky Star and I don't think anything will deter me for a while.

I've got heaps more favourites but that's probably my most faved. <3
 
Well, Pokemon isn't technically my favorite, but it means the most to me, so it got my vote. I'd have to say that my favorite anime would be one (or two) that, even if I lost interest in anime, I'd still always like or hold onto. With Pokemon aside, I think Fushigi Yuugi is my favorite series. ^^ Oh, and Yugioh GX is definately up there on my list too.
 
Seto no Hanayome and Zero no Tsukaima are two of my favourite series. It seems you only really listed the ones everyone has seen in that list though, and mostly things where the dubs were shown on US TV D=

Air TV is one of my most favorite anime. It has a pretty good story, interesting characters, lots of dramatic moments and the visuals are also amazing.
Other favorites of mine are: Suzumiya Haruhi (vol 1 of the manga will be released in three days in my country, can't wait!!), Hunter x Hunter, Code Geass, Kamichu!, Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, NHK ni Yokoso, Elfen Lied, Tsubasa Chronicle, Idolm@ster Xenoglossia and Last Exile just to name a few.

To be honest, I can't really decide on my no.1 anime, there are lots of amazing series spanning different genres that it's making it to hard for me to decide.

I have waaaayyyy too many. ^^; But some of them are Pokemon (of course), D.N.Angel, Cradcaptor Sakura, Tsubasa, Mermaid Melody, Sailor Moon, Maruto (sometimes), Chobits, and HARUHI!! <3 and alot more.. ^^;

My best of the best anime is definitely Naruto and Naruto shippuden(well it counts as one). Great character development and storyline. Also the fillers are good^^. Not like Dragonball Z, only fighting and unatural high power can fly they are almost invurenable, oh come on so unrealistic! Thats my opinion though.
 
Meh love all Gundam series (Gundam 00 is da best!!), Katekyo Hitman Reborn, Neon Genesis Evangelion, Rurouni Kenshin or better known as Samurai X, Erementer Gerad, Bleach, Pokehmahn (yeah... why??!), Mai Hime, Blood +, uhhhhh theres too much.....................................................
Peacemaker Kurougane, Gatekeepers, Bakuretsu Tenshi, Yakitate! Japan, Ranma 1/2, Sousei no Auarion, Keroro Gunsou, Airgear, Rave Master, Nana, The Law of Ueki... i think i'll stop here.....

And I'm with you on that, Saryka. Yu-gi-oh was cool until they ditched the killing and put in the trading mards.

it is unrealistic, but walking on water and copying yourself is just about the same. And the worst part is, they do it with hand gestures. But saiyans make more sense only because they are aliens. but again, it IS just opinion.

Anyways... i'd have to say One piece, Dragon ball Z, Ranma 1/2 and Hajime no ippo.
I'm the kind of guy who likes the unknown animes.
at least they aren't overhyped like some others.
