What's your nationality and language spoken?

i speak english, even though i'm from almost every european country (mostly german/english/irish/french/spanish) i'm japanese, i'm canadian, i'm mexican, and i'm american (ancsestors in california since before the US was a country, boo yes *1700s*) but unfortunatly, i only speak english, and i'm learning spanish. i hate that language. so lame, but so's english. o well, i wish i knew japanese.

I speak only English, since I was born and raised here in the U.S.

I am however:
Swedish (about 50%)
Norwegian (about 40%)
Ukrainian (about 10%)

Cool! A lot of different nationality.
I'm Vietnamese/Chinese and I speak:
English
Chinese (cantonese)
Chinese (mandarin)
Vietnamese
Italian (learning)
Spanish (learning)
.....I could go on..I think. But I'm stopping here. :P

Argh, it's hard to learn 2 similar languages at once.
I get the words mixed up with Italian and Spanish. XD

I had Spanish class last year, and it was really hard. I can hardly remember anything that I learned. It doesn't help when you have one of the most hated teachers in the school as the teacher. x.x I take Spanish 2 next year. I better start reading my notes from last year over the summer...

I would really like to learn Japanese, because of Pokemon. My cousin knows some Japanese. She loves the language. She taught me a Japanese word too. "Roho", which means "red". It's the same thing for Spanish too.

Are you sure, I thought it was Aka... Roho would be a little to European even though its only in Spanish.

In French is Rouge, and in Portuguese its Vermelho! The bestest color in the world is Vermelho, e Verde, e Azul, e Amarilho, e Branco, e Preto, e....Muito Cors!

I dunno if this should go in MVP or not, but since it's already here.... >.>;
I'm 100% Chinese, and if ya wanna break it down, My mom's Taiwanese, so that make me half/half. (Pretty boring heritage if ya ask me. =P) I learned how to speak Mandarin Chinese fluently. I can speak/write/read it! xD I also know English (Duh. =P) I know a bit of Taiwanese, but not much. I also know various bits of Japanese, Spanish, Italian, Vietnamese, Cantonese... (I mean like a few words of each. xD)
And I'm learning French in school. (But I have a very bad grade.... >.>)

I am iraqi and i live in iraq right now i move to hong kong this year coming.

I believe that this can go here! ^_^; It isn't exactly a poll... And I've seen a similiar older thread in this forum.

I'd actually like to be a translator or go into communications if I don't do my first choice, which would be acting, modeling, or voice-acting. If that fails, I'll become a pharmacist. You know how much money you get just for counting pills?!
Ooh, I've thought of modeling. It seems like a fun job; you just probably have to move far away or to a really large city if you want to find a good job. ~_~ And lol, I didn't know that you could make a lot of money counting pills. Hmm...

Anyways, I was born and I live in America, so I'm American. But I'm not entirely sure of my heritage. I was born in Hawaii, but... I think that I have some German and Swedish in me. I'm not sure. My mother said that she thinks that our last name is German, (It sounds like it, because it's so uncommon around here. O_o But, the other day, we saw a store with it in its name. Lol, I won't go into that, but... I bet they're relatives somewhere down the family line.) and my dad's parents are part Swedish, I think.

English is really the only language that I'm fluent in. At my old school, we were taught Spanish, and so I know a few words. I'm also pretty good at random Japanese words, but the only sentence I could tell you is 'Arigatou'. ('Thank you'. ...I think.) I also know some Hawaiian, because my family has a long history with Hawaii, and my mom has taught me some. I've also learned a few Italian words, from reading some of Chrystie's posts. XD

i know some spansih a lot of mandarin and englsih

Well I was born in the US so that makes me American. But as for background I'm half Italian, a quarter Irish, and eighth Scottish and an eighth English.

As for languages... I speak English since that's my frist language. I can/could also speak Italian. I understand it perfectly but I can't come up with words on my own. I used to take classes and I would sing solos (how I ended up singing solos I'll never know!) to songs like Volare and other stuff. But the singing and dancing cut away from our class time so I didn't get to learn a whole lot. But since my nonna speaks Italian (well a Sicilian dilect of it) I understand it pretty well. I'm also taking Spanish in school. Somehow I managed to get an A- in Spanish 3 level honors when Spanish was erased from my brain last year. I guess growing up hearing Italian all the time helped a lot...

Both my parents are Canadian, but my dad's parents are Italian and my mom's parents are Maltese (SP?). I'm kinda neither and consider myself just Canadian. The only part of any of these cultures that I enforce is Italian food. Italian double-kissing is confusing. I headbutted my aunt once doing that. LOL. I can't speak either language, or any other language except for English.

It's not totally Italian Double-Kissing If I know what your talking about, TRIFORCE89, if its the Cheek-Cheek Kiss, thats the Euro-Kiss, seeing that Portuguese people do it too.

well there is no plain american there's NATIVE american which means your race is natvie to this land everyone else is anglo or whatever race you are.

I know, but I think if we're born in America, then we should be called American, unless we came from another country. Hey, whya ren't canadians and mexicans American, too?

I`am about 70% Scottish,20% French and 10% Mexican. o_O

Langauages I speak:

English
French
Spanish
Hebrew
Latin
Swaheli *sp* , It is an African Language.
