When worlds collide!

A good few years later, the mountain was pretty much the same, though now it had become a much lighter shade thanks to the constant wear of the sand and sun, it almost matched the desert around it. High above it, a dark shape circled, descending towards the gate...

Within moments, a young dragon, about three times the size of a horse had landed at the gate, and rapped at it with his claws, knowing that the spell would allow him to be heard throughout the mountain. He had a dark brown, almost black skin, and black horns going back on his head, almost like a crown. His belly and the membranes on his wings were a bright, almost yellow orange, and he had deep red eyes with black pupils.

He folded his wings calmly, waiting to be let inside the home his family had lived in since before his birth...

almost intantly, a light blue dragon that was lines wiht white stripes, had three gold necklaces, and several blue jems on her underside hauled herself to a feet, and muttered several things, before letting Smaug in.

"hey Beladran! your brother's here!" she called into the mountain, not exactly thrilled aobut Smaug beign around.

"our brother." Beladran said, striding into the tunnel. like her sister, she was a light blue, though her tail ended in an almost fishlike fin, and she had a frill on her neck, and unlike her sister, she had no particular prefrence toward jewlrey.

Nearby, in the shadows, I lifted my head, and seeing smaug, said "I do hope you camoflauged on your way back here"

"Of course." He said, not put off by Alzara, he was used to it by now. When he saw beldaran, he smiled, and asked "So, how have you all been?" He had started working on his endurance for flight, and sometimes hadn't come back for a few days, such as this time.

"pretty good. Mom's been teachign me how to control water, and teacing Alzara how to breathe ice." beledran said, laying down.

I glansed outside for a moment, and said "looks like you didn't camoflauge well enough. Smaug, get your siblings further inside, and hurry. Tell your father..." I paused for a moment, carefully choosing my next words, "that I love him, and I'm sorry I won't be able to say that to him anymore."

Smaug Stiffined at her words, but he knew better than to try disobeying. He nodded, and said "I will, I'm sorry." Before ushering his sisters along, though they probably knew the mountain better than he himself did. He had to admit to himself, though he didn't show it, that he was aafraid. "something that would make her say that... Nevermind, there's not time to think about it." He thought, moving deeper into the mountain.

I slithered outside the mountain, and once I did, the sky turned pitch black, and several demons appeared around me, with vampires and nightshades.

"over half of Satan's army? he must be pretty desperate to kill me." I said with a slight laugh.

"it's not just you. you and your family have hurt us. and your children carry vampire blood." one of the few male vampires said.

"dracula himself? impressive." I said, though now I wasn't laughing. this guy had threatened my family.

Without warning, I had almost 10 demons on me, what were quickly blasted off, but after a few minutes of fighting with them I was getitng tired.

"I warned you not to go aginst Satan. now you'll pay" dracula said, swooping in for the kill.

I slowed black for a moment, releasing my Final destiny attack, wiping out all of them, but once the attack was completed, I had demanded far too much energy. the darkness cleared, and there were no signs of life...

We were far enough into the mountain that we didn't hear the fight going on, I simply continued walking with my sisters until we reached a room where we saw Dad, who from the looks of it, had just obliterated his scrying orb that he used to see elsewhere with...

Beladran backed off slightly, not used to seeing her father upset. but she had a sinking feeling. "Somethign's happened to mom?" she assumed.
Alzara looked at Beledran like she was crazy, but said nothing.

Smaug didn't say anything, he was now truly scared, but I turned around, ready to tell them what had happened. Hiding the truth was more harmful than lying to make them feel better. "Yes." I said, trying my best to keep my voice even, but failing. "Looks like Satan wasn't done with us, but she's pretty much garunteed our- you're safety." I said, my vision beginning to dim with tears. "I need to be alone now, there's just so much... There are some things I'll need to talk to each of you about, but not right now." I said, turning away.

Beladran backed away for a moment, eyes brimming with tears, before she turned and fled. she had a specific place in mind, a cavern with a waterfall that Eclipse had taken her to to practice her powers.

Alzara followed her, and she was on the edge now. once both draogns were free of the caverns they both took to the air with a rush of thier wings..

I walked outside of the room, the door closing behind me, and waited for everyone to get out of sight. I knew dad would probably want to talk with me too, so I decided to be there when he did. As soon as I was certain Beldaran and Alzara were out of hearing, I just broke down into sobs, I couldn't believe it, it just couldn't be true...

The two sisters were flying over a vast forest that well protected the caverns, when Alzara looked down, and say soem weird tracks on the ground. she flew down, and Beledran took notice and followed. they looked at the tracks for a moment, before beledran looked up and said "well, Dad won't be happy to hear this."

After a while, I didn't know how long, I called smaug back in. "There are some things I need to tell you, that the others won't know, at least not yet. You're the eldest, and I know you can handle this." I said, pausing to make sure I had everything straight. "I'm going to be leaving." I said, looking back at the remnants of my scrying orb, the shattered pieces still glowing form the spell that powered them "Everything is taken care of in here." I said, pointing to a scroll of what looked like paper, but was in fact a flexible form of crystal. "You might not like what I have to say, but everything's been planned out, and-" i was interupted by Smaug, who was distraught. "Does this mean we won't see you again?" He asked. i could tell he had been crying, and he looked almost like he was about to again, but I spoke up. "Of course you will, you'll see me and your mother again, don't worry about it." I said, and placed a claw to his mouth. "One last thing," I said, calling my daughters with a mental call. No words, or sense of urgency, but a feeling of wanting them to return. "Despite what that may say, I'm not adverse to a little cheating now and then." I said, as i handed him a soul gem, my prize work. Crafted to hold any number of souls, or in this case, an extremely powerful essence. "That holds my 'essence' you don't know what it means, but don't worry. It's not me, it's not my soul, and it's not a ghost. If you ever get into a situation with no hope, use it, and you'll have me there to help, but it's good for one time before the soul gem will burn up, so be careful." I said, then added "I'm sorry, but this has to be done." Before using a sleep spell on him, which would dissipate when my daughters arrived. I walked quickly to the exit, and took off into the air, sparing a look back at the field outside where my love had perished...

beladran looked up, and said "Dad wants us back at the mountain."

"no, really?" alzara shot back, still broken over the loss of her mother.

"you go. I need to stay here. I'm not going back." Beladran finally cried out, sinking to the ground.

"you're coming with me" alzara said, hitting beledran with a small shot of ice, and finally she got up, and took to the air, and both of them headed for the mountain, and got there in record time.

Smaug awoke in the room where his father had left him, and he cursed for a moment, before hearing his sisters arriving. He wasn't as good as his father, but he could reveal his location to them, so he did so, and waited for them to arrive, hiding the soulgem under one of his scales, and walking over to the scroll.

Both of the sisters got there, and Beladran collapsed aginst the wall, crying. Alzara watched her, before saying "Smaug, I'm starting to get worried. Beladran can't fight, and i think we'll have to sooner or later."

OOC: we felt the need to explain why Nido left, and why Eclipse died. or at least, I did.

why does it matter anyways?

and nyah is my word, no taking it, nyah! :P
