When you make a mistake when writing,do u cross it out,write over it or use whiteout?

Could have posted this in OVP.

Anyway, it depends what I'm using; if I'm using a pen, I'll usually just cross it out. If it's a pencil, I'll erase it.

I don't get the question? Who actually writes anymore? XD
I usually just usually cross out and write above/ immediately following the correct word

Eeermmm... you go to school, right?

Well, I know we have computers, but still... when doing reports I do write on paper usually...

I write in pencil first. Then check it over. Write it over with pen, then erase the pencil. But if I lost my pencil and, I screwed up. I just put on slash through the word and write the corrected one right by it.

I erase! :> The only time I have to write stuff out is for my math courses and I do my math work in pencil sooooo I simply erase any mistakes. On roughwork I may cross it out if I make a mistake and continue on the next like if I'm lazy though. XD

This is a poll because, um, there isn't much to discuss, so off to OVP it goes.

I don't write much any more. Before if I made a mistake I started writing again on a fresh sheet. I type everything now though. When depicting photography, in a sketch book I type it first to see any spelling errors then write it. Though spelling isn't really an issue. it's keeping it in a straight line that is. xD

I guess I'm a weirdo... But I don't do any of these things. I leave my mistakes, underline them, and once I'm finished writing, go back to them and make mental note of what I did wrong. If I write another draft, I'll fix it then.

I have a tendency to make untidy crossings out when I make a mistake, or just try to reshape the misspelling to make it look like the correction...really got to work on that, this is probably the one thing that lets down my handwriting more than anything else. XD;

^ I am exactly this. My handwriting is horrible to begin with, but this makes it so much worse. X(

I don't write in pen. :>
It's either pencil or typed.

Although in middle school, whiteout was banned so usually I'd just cross it out very untidily.

Typically, I cross it out with this circular scribble motion (Examples in here). I pull out the whiteout when the crossing out gets so bad, there's no space in that part of the line to put my corrections. XD;;

I even scribble things out when I write in pencil. It's insane. @@; And good luck finding a page that doesn't have something crossed out.

Pencil, I erase as best I can. With pen(I rarely use pen), I just cross it out. I do this often, as I make many mistakes. Thank you typing.

I hate using pen, since I draw a lot and make a lot of mistakes. :x So I pick erasing. And sometimes I scribble things out, depending on my mood. XD;

I press delete because the only writing I do is work, grocery lists, and mainly, text messaging.

But at work, I just scribble out my mistakes. This is unfortunate because they are numerous and usually in important notes to the next days' shift ''X3

Whiteout? Is that Tipex? I just cross out, Tipex makes things look messy and takes up too much time.
