Piplup and its evolutions look like a penguin lol. Do you have a Piplup?
 
To find a legit Mew you have to ask someone to trade you one unfortunately.

Yes, you are able to complete the Sinnoh pokedex by battling.

Mothim: Ace Trainer Ernest on the Celesticside of Route 210
Wormadam: Beauty Devon on Route 214
Barboach: Fisherman Cameron on on Route 212
Chatot: Gentleman Jeremy on Route 212
