The Pokemon Center that was in NYC is right below Central park. And is very close to the theater district (Musicals?)

I feel the pain.

I never did make the connection with musicals, but I did visit NYC last spring and saw Chicago on Broadway. And all these big theaters are very close to the area of NYC that would correspond with Isshu.

You are missing the point, Luvdisc is from Hoenn - Shanghai is closer to Hoenn and therefore is more likely to house Luvdisc and/or it's evolution.

The majority of Water Pokémon don't inhabit entire oceans like that ><

Also I don't think either side can argue 'shape', both differ from Isshu and would need quite a bit of deforming. In NYCs case it also needs to remove some land mass.

1. Team Plasma's role is not fully understood, and should probably not be used as evidence either way. If anyone wants a Shanghai point for them however - Knights could be a reference to the Terracota Army, China.

2. @RaveCat no two children doesn't point away from China x__x Since when is law put in to these kinds of games? That would be ridiculous.

3. @Rocky suspicious looking people have always been used to block off locations, he could be a guard or whatever - doesn't mean he's looking for terrorists o_o.

4. Personally I don't see how people freeing Pokémon from trainers = Freedom. If anything it's vigilantism and it's making people suffer.

Why would it be deleted from the list if it is based on sunfish :S it lives in both NYC and shanghai area.

As for that map, dont you think that is obvious, it is the only reason that isshu isnt completely indentical to shanghai, but they might also just changed that part.
And that isnt any sort of proof, so please once again dont say proves, because I can qoute many proofs against you that holds much more evidence like NYC being only 1 city, thus cant be isshu, and that NYC is waaay too small, that IMO completely disualifies NYC being isshu, but as I said nothing proves anything yet, since the games havent come out.

When saying shanghai we are not referring to only shanghai, but the entire region, shanghai is just that place where hiuin is supposed to be, the rest are other towns and forests. So it just makes it more possible to be shanghai(region)

'Shanghai' is the basic area. That map isn't JUST Shanghai City.

Here is a size comparison between regions and NYC, again! And shanghai(region) is the PERFECT size.

Now here is a real life size comparison between regions in japan, shanghai and NYC area
Now how can any1 say when looking at this map that NYC could be a region in a pokemon game(it is that little red dot in the lower map) While shanghai is just the right side, totally matches all the other regions.
Now there is a ration 500km/500mi on the maps so u cant say i edited the pictures or whtever, whilst nyc map on the right has a ratio 10km/5mi

I dont think NYC has any real chance of being isshu except victiny event, which might be a reference to japanese all popular v-sign, to attract kids, or they could use it only to reference america, but not base isshu of it.

So what if it doesent have the right shape exactly, look at tall the proof agains NYC, I mean look a that big lkae at the exact same spot it is on shanghai, try to get around THAT.

Also!: I just thought of this. Umm, not sure if it's been said, but if it has I'll say it better. [/JK] So, I now think Isshu is New York again based on shape. But the thing is, the peninsulas are the right shape... but squished. EXACTLY! GF has been known to alter the location, like shift Johto so it lines with Kanto, rotate Hoenn, add part of Russia to Hokkaido to make Sinnoh, etc. So, taking New York and giving the peninsulas a little space wouldn't be that bad! So I think it's New York again, with the ferris wheel thing probably being based off the town near shanghai. But yeah... look at new york. Spread the peninsulas out a bit, straighten it a tad, and BAM! Isshu in a box!... Or on a screen. Whichever floats your boat. But the main other clues to NY are probably Hiun's art being the same as a pic of NY Harbor and the entire Victini deal.

BTW I woulda posted this last night but PC was really slow. XD
