Which Colors Look Best on Pokemon?

I see a lot of discussion online about which categories or types of Pokemon are better (inanimate vs animal-like, first stage vs final evolution, baby vs normal, etc), but I hardly ever see anyone bring up a core aspect of any Pokemon design, color. Do you think certain colors generally go better with Pokemon? Do you prefer multi-colored designs or ones with one dominant hue? Which generation / type do you think tends to use color the most effectively?

Blue goes well for water-types. Any water types that aren't blue just don't feel right

Leans towards their type's color (green for Grass, silver for Steel, brown for Rock, and so on) being a good color for a given Pokemon. Becomes boring if all Pokemon of that type are colored the same, of course.

Argues about three colors to be the maximum number of colors you can put on a Pokemon, not counting small details like eyes. May be able to swing four if you are using black and white as two of the colors. Holds no strong opinion about one dominant color versus a mixture of several. Risks being a little plain with only one color, such as with Luvdisc and Alomomola.

Generally likes darker colors on Pokemon too. Comes from personal preference, outside of Pokemon.

Cannot really think of any generation or type being better or worse for color. Could point to specific Pokemon, however, such as Bruxish . Dislikes that.

Other than the classics, I love brown/red for grass types. I wish we would have more of them because that autumn color scheme really calls to me for grass Pokémon. ❤️

Also, white for ice types..!
