If you think this is a stupid, boring and irrelevant question then you're probably right - but you still clicked on it, which means you must be interested, right? :P (Or you've just come to say how stupid, boring and irrelevant I am...)

Well anyway I was wondering which mode everyone sets their Pokédex to when their playing the game. Do you keep to the Regional Mode or switch to National Mode as soon as possible?

Personally I always choose the latter and always set it to National Mode. I like the idea of one universal Pokédex even if evolutions are in the wrong order. Anytime I refer to 'dex numbers they'll always be National (#258 for example ^^ ).

    So what about you lot?

I never even use my Pokedex unless I need to know where something is, in which case, it's in national mode, because I'm not going to sit around memorizing regional dexes.

I use Regional mode pre-E4, then switch to National mode as soon as I get the National Dex.

I prefer seeing intergenerational evolutionary families grouped together rather than separated by upwards of a hundred slots (there're about four hundred slots between Magenton and Magnezone in the national dex). But then again, this convenience is lost on pokemon that aren't even in the regional dex, like the Ckefairy family in Hoenn or the Jigglypuff family in Sinnoh. >_>

It depends....if I'm checking what pokémon I should be able to get in my region....I'll use the regional pokédex, i.e. If I want to decide upon a pokémon for my new team on Platinum, I'll check Diamond's 'dex and vice versa. However, if I've unlocked the National Pokédex I usually use that. With the exception of the Johto 'dex, which contains half of the Gen IV National Pokédex anyway, and groups things together better....

    Insert random filler here.

I have it on National Mode! I think it makes life alot easier if your searching for a specific Pokémon!

I like National Mode best. Why? Because everything's there!

Considering that the regional dex usually changes every game, and that i know the general area of the pokemon in the national dex, i gotta say National

I use the Nat. Dex because it has all the pokemon in that one dex

Always use National mode, if it's been obtained in the game that I am playing. More convenient, in my opinion.
