Which processor brand do you think is better? AMD? Intel? PowerPC? Other? What do you like about it. What's your favorite line or version of it?

For me I like both Intel's and PowerPC's processors. However I like Intel's more. Intel I like the Core 2 and Xeon line up as I have a Core 2 Duo in my Macbook Pro and it runs Vista so heavenly and my school's laptops use Core 2 Duo's and they are great. PowerPC I really liked the G5's because I have used G5 iMacs and PowerMac's and they are quite fast.

    So how about you guys?

I've used mostly Intel processors, so it's my preferred, but I also really like AMD. The dual-core processors are awesome. My laptop has a Pentium Dual-Core processor in it. It's really awesome. My other laptop has an Intel Core 2 Duo in it.
I have no experience with any other processors, sadly.

Well, I am going to have to wait to see what the Zii is like before I make any decisions. My old favorite was Cyrix. This is because they had lower clock speads than Intel chips, but ran much more efficiently at the time.

I prefer Intel, and if I know M3wA, he's probably going to edit this, I don't mind AMD CPUs, but my experience has led me to have more confidence in Intel. The first computer I had was an Intel Pentium 3 233MHz CPU, from there I upgraded to an Intel Celeron 533MHz CPU in my first self-build computers. after that I just bought laptops and have had Intel's Pentium 4 with Hyper-threading at 3.4GHz and now I'm on an Intel Core 2 Duo 2.4GHz CPU.
I've used my brother's old mobo that had an AMD Duron CPU and it was bearable as long as it wasn't running anything more intensive than Photoshop 6.0 and windows media player. My parents also let me have free reign over their old desktop which runs an AMD Athlon XP CPU, which runs Windows 7, w/o Aero, and Photoshop + iTunes just fine.

AMD, because of price. There usually cheaper, and there really easy to build with.

Next computer will probably have Intel, but that depends on what happens in the market.

Intel generally in my expierence are MUCH faster and more efficent. I have a Intel Core 2 Duo T5200 at 1.60ghz, while my sister has a AMD Althlon 64 x2 dual core at 1.80ghz. My computer is much faster and has 1 GB of Ram unlike my sister, who has 2GB
