    Gen 1 Charmander
    Gen 2 Cyndaquil
    Gen 3 Torchic
    Gen 4 Chimchar
    Gen 5 Snivy

    • Gen II: Chikorita
    • Gen III: Treecko
    • Gen IV: Turtwig
    • Gen V: Snivy

    What can I say? I love the Grass-type starters. My favourite out of those is Turtwig, though.

    Gen 3. Torchic
    Gen 4. Chimchar
    Gen 5. Tepig

    Fire is my kind of thing.
     
    I love all the starters! Especially Oshawott!

    Here's what I picked in each gen... well, from Gen 3 onwards.

    Gen 3: Mudkip in all 3 games.

    Gen 4: Piplup in Pearl (Chimchar on Pearl re-run) and Turtwig in Platinum.

    Gen 5: I'm getting Black for my birthday and you know which starter I'll choose? Hint: It's in my signature and avatar.

    Gen II (HG/SS): Totodile, Cyndaquil
    Gen III: Torchic, Mudkip
    Gen IV: Turtwig, Chimchar, Piplup
    Gen V: Oshawott
     
    1st gen: Blastoise
    2nd gen: Typhlosion
    3rd gen: Blaziken
    4th gen: Empoleon
    5th gen: Samurott

    And yes, there's a reason I'm only listing their final forms... because that's when they become awesome.

    I'm not much of a grass starters person, hence they don't appear anywhere on this list.
     
    1: Pikachu (it was the Yellow version)
    2: Chikorita
    3: Mudkip
    4: Piplup
    5: Snivy

    I just notice it now, I never started with a fire-type starter, but I like them all, more or less. :)

    Gen 2: Cyndaquil/Totodile
    Gen 3: Torchic/Mudkip/Treecko
    Gen 4: Chimchar/Turtwig
    Gen 5: Tepig

    Normally, I choose a Fire starter because of how awesome they are. I'm also quite fond of Grass starters, but Water-types have never been my forte ('cept for Totodile and Mudkip :))

    Started loving the fire,than went to grass and may be entering a water phase
     
    The first time I played each gen, these are what I chose:

    Gen 1: Charmander
    Gen 2: Totodile
    Gen 3: Torchic
    Gen 4: Piplup
    Gen 5: Snivy

    I love the final evos of all of these. I also love the fact that Snivy is so sassy in the anime, or at least Ash's Snivy. Generally, though, what I do with each gen is choose a different starter for each main series game in the generation, such as choosing Piplup in Diamond, Chimchar in Pearl, and Turtwig in Platinum.
     
    Gen 1 - Charmander. <333
    Gen 2 - Cyndaquil. ;D
    Gen 3 - Torchic. c:
    Gen 4 - Chimchar.
    Gen 5 - Tepig! <3

    I bet you can't tell which ones are my favorite along with my favorite type. (;

    Tepig.

    So a mixture of Fire and Water. I'm not a big fan of Grass types.
     
    GenI: Venusaur > Blastoise > Charizard
    GenII: Typhlosion > Feraligatr > Meganium
    GenIII: Sceptile > Swampert > Blaziken
    GenIV:Torterra > Infernape > Empoleon
    GenV: Emboar > Samurott > Serperior

    I guess generally, my preference is grass > fire > water. XD

    These are all the Pokemon I've choose from all of the Generation except from Generation III and IV. The Pokemon in italics would be favourites of mine.
     
    By tradition, I always pick the Water type one. So,

    Gen I: Squirtle
    Gen II: Totodile
    Gen III: Mudkip
    Gen IV: Piplup
    Gen V: Oshawott

    On my second playthroughs I generally use the others, tho. Hardly ever pick Fire.
