Who is the scariest character in any TV show/Anime/Movie that you've seen?

Ok, I've seen a few scary individuals, but, to me, none compare to Iris Heart, a so-called "goddess" from an anime called Hyperdimension Neptunia. She scares me without even trying!

Generally, if you know enough about the thing you're scared of, it seems scarier. That's why I'm terrified of films featuring the devil haha.

I'm not gonna lie, pertaining to real life I'd have to say Dexter Morgan from Dexter. That dude can act perfectly normal but he definitely has a demon inside of him. Overall though, he has normal feelings and emotions.

As far as scary movies goes, the clown from It really scared me. The clown ruined a lot of things for me when I was younger. Ugh.

Oh my --- I don't know what I was going to say now that you reminded me of that movie. There's nothing quite so terrifying as the terror of the realistically possible.

Oh wait. I remember. Ringu. Maybe not the scariest thing I've seen, but it stuck with me much, much longer than most anything and I still think about it from time to time when it's dark and there's a television in the room.

Ah, jeez, and it's late and I have to go to bed soon. Crap.

Xenomorphs.

Let's start off with the little eggs, shall we?

The egg doesn't seem dangerous. But when it hatches, and you peek inside just like any curious human being would do to know what's inside. A Facehugger then leaps out of the egg to attach itself to your face.

Then the Facehugger impregnates it's host by putting an embryo by the host's mouth.

Then after a period of gestation, the embryo evolves into a chestbuster which erupts from the host's chest and killing the host in the process.

The Chestbuster then evolves into an adult form and because of the gestation period inside the host's chest, the now Xenomorph takes some physical attributes of the host. Making it adapt to the same environment as the host.

Now the Adult Xenomorphs... They are capable of running and crawling along ceilings and walls, possesses great physical strength, have blade tipped tails, have extremely potent acid as blood and have a retractable tongue which got it's own set of snapping metallic teeth that can easily break through skin and bones.

If this doesn't give you nightmares, then I don't know what does.

I always found Legato Bluesummers from Trigun to be one of the scariest anime characters I've seen. It was implied that he telepathically killed an entire village.
