4th Gen Who thinks Celebi will be catchable this time

Two posts above, I only hope the notch-eared Pichu is not the way to get Celebi, it would be torturing those who want to catch that Notch Eared Pichu, but only get to see it because it leads you to Celebi. Though, I highly doubt that'll be the case.
 
I have a couple of theories.
WiFi- It'll be like the Shaymin/Darkrai/Arceus events. WiFi, Item get, go to the shrine (perhaps after visiting prof. someone), event, match, aftermath.
In-game event- probably a side-quest after you beat the e4 or Kanto gyms.
Runner legend- This makes some sense in that Celebi can do the time warp again.
I'd like to see a bit more backstory on Celebi. Perhaps, the shrine could lead you to Celebi's homeland. How awesome would that be?
I have no idea why people think the white rock in kanto has a part in it. It could simply be a way to re-obtain the Gracidea, anyone think about that?
 
Considering that Celebi has been an event-only Pokemon so far, and the original GSC games didn't have any focus on it either (although this is a less significant point), it'll likely remain an Event-only Pokemon here as well. Also agree that I'd rather than didn't go and centre the whole game around the legendary Pokemon as well - it's a remake, and IMO they should leave it as is, for the most part. Of course, the Celebi event could be its own side-quest and all.

(And also preferably this event'll happen in other countries as well, such as Australia...).
 
I Know celebi will be catchable because it is part of the Game >3

I reckon it should be catchable, maybe an bonus part of the storyline after you beat Red(Ash) :)

Why would they take out catching Suicune, Entei, and Raikou when they have been roaming legendaries in two sets of handheld games? o_O Those three Pokemon have been catchable Pokemon in the games, with the exception of when they were voted on the "Most Popular" list for the tenth anniversary event tour.

Celebi is most likely going to be an event. This is Nintendo we're talking about. They'll use the Celebi event as a way to advertise HG/SS. This means that either a giveaway at TRU, to advertise merchandise, or a widely advertised Wi-Fi event. I'm personally hoping for both, since I can't get on Wi-Fi, and don't want to miss out on Celebi.

I would still like for them to set the event around other countries as well

Because. Since when does a stupid-looking baby Pokemon, especially one with a tumor in its ear, have anything to do with a legendary Pokemon?

PICHU is the cutest pokemon in my opinion! as for the notch ear we know thats because one of its parents was a buneary. And if it does have anything to do with a celebi event then we will find out why
as I am not nintendo so i personally do not know but anyway what is the problem with that? it hardly effects gameplay...
maybe the two pichu's start fighting or something and then celebi stops it? No-one actually knows so we'll just have to and see ;)

I don't know where you're getting that Buneary info, but if it's true that's unbelievably stupid.

If Pichu has anything to do with Celebi, that's just one more reason not to get this game.

Well we don't exactly know about the Pichu information yes, but I don't really think it would be a rumor since we have seen pictures of it.

Anyways, if the Pichu has anything to do with the Celebi I wouldn't know what to think as I don't have a clue on how it would go. I would want it to be an event though, or a wifi mystery gift event. It could possibly just be both wifi mystery gift event and Toys R Us event.
 
I imagine Celebi will be written into the code at least, but I doubt it will be catchable; Mew wasn't catchable outside of an event on FR/LG.
 
what? do you mean you cant get mew without an FR/LG event?

thats not true! you can only get it in emerald on faraway island (if you mean an ingame event).
(maybe R/S aswell, cant remember)...
