Who thinks that iCarly is so bad that you want it cancelled?

I will admit, that when the show first came out it was funny, and I actually enjoyed watching it. But it has jumped the shark now and I cannot stand to watch it anymore. It's too repetitive of an idea to actually be worth something in the long run.
 
I rarely watch iCarly anymore, but I think it's actually pretty good.
Keep in mind that it's one of Nickelodeon's most popular shows.

iCarly is such a terrible show, it pushed Pokemon to a timeslot I find not suitable for me and I am so not a fan of Miranda Cosgrove (the actress who plays Carly).

I'll never watch Pokemon again unless Ten gets rid of iCarly and moves Pokemon to a timeslot that I find suitable.

Oh well, I've always thought Nickelodeon started from cartoons, so I guess that's ignorance on my part...

I still hate these kinds of shows, though. Whenever I turned on Nickelodeon to watch Cartoon, all I see are these kinds of crap, that I didn't even think were fun nor funny. It's the main reason why I quit watching Nick/CN, too. (rather than cartoons getting "immature" - though if I got older I'd still have stopped watching eventually)

I tried telling that to the people at the forums of dA, they flamed me and cursed at me, it was at a bad forum section, where there are bad people, and that I didn't know. Some stalked my page and cursed at me. Really? For my opinion and truth about iCarly I get flamed?
 
Well, yeah. When you tell people that a show that they like is terrible and should be cancelled, there's going to be some repercussions. If you don't like it, that's cool. What you SHOULD do is not belittle others for enjoying what they enjoy. Should you choose to tell people that what they're enjoying is trash, don't expect them to just sit idly by and let you continue saying those things.

As for your criticisms, I believe that you should look into this concept called "suspension of disbelief". Most if not all shows use it. You can believe that everybody likes Carly's webshow because it's a fictional show. That's how it works. Your criticism of Sam as a bad role model assumes that she is a role model in the first place. It's quite clear that Sam isn't a character to be looked up to when she is reprimanded by Carly, the model student, all the time. As an aside, The Amanda Show didn't exactly teach good values either. Prank calling (Mr. Oldman), Stalking (Penelope Taynt), Plagiarism (Blockblister), Disregard of adult authority (Judge Trudy, Mr. Gullible), and reinforcement of teenage stereotypes (The Girls' Room). Drake and Megan weren't exactly role models either, while Josh is a wimp whereas you demeaned Freddie for it. iCarly isn't a perfect show (it got silly after the shipping started to become canon), but the shows that you idolize for being better than it also had the same traits that iCarly has.

Times have changed. Just go with it. They've slowly shifted interest. You can't just say They changed it, now it sucks.

That's a contradiction in itself. Your opinion is not truth. That's like when I say that I think Petilil is the cutest Pokemon ever. That's my opinion. Is it truth? No. I'd get bombarded with "no it's not Eevee is" or something like that. Like jpp8 said, you can't say stuff like that and not expect an opposing opinion.
 
i don't like it..i feel nothing new at eps but others like it so i won't want it to be cancelled.
 
I love it but can't stand the main character. I find Carly extremely boring. Gibby and Spencer are my favourite characters because they always make me laugh.
However, I really don't like the newer episodes where it's all "so like omg I kissed him and then like he kissed me and omg".

I can't stand that show. I hate the kinds of shows that use laughter sound effects to point out what's funny. It completely ruins it. And this show is dull imo. I watched a few episodes and I just didn't like it.

Although the show is geared towards a younger audience, it's still bad.

And remember iPsycho? It's extremely unrealistic, and they are doing a remake of it, OMG. It annoys me when they think that violence and being bad is funny.

I personally enjoy iCarly because it's just something I can watch and not take seriously, lol. It's clear that the people on the show or the people that produce the show aren't taking it too seriously either because if you look at half the plot lines they have for the episodes, some of them are so stupid that it's clear that they're simply having a laugh, lol. Although I do understand why people would dislike it, it's just another successful Nickelodeon show of a different era to the stuff we are used to. No need to get uptight about it, lol.
 
Its better then anything on Disney. I like it. Though I respect others who dislike it.

meh, I'm too old for nick/CN anyways and I have better things to do than watching crap like iCarly.

Not the worst thing out there, but shows like this don't capture my interest at all. (not to mention their totally unfunny sound effects)

But I heard that it's supposed to be like Drake and Josh, but it's far more unrealistic and more crueler that Drake and Josh. Such as the "iMeet Fred" episode.
 
Eh, I used to watch it, but I don't have cable anymore, so I don't know how bad it got, I guess. Doesn't surprise me, happens to all shows. :P
