Who's that Pokemon? (SUPER SPECIAL SUPER UPDATE 5/8/24)

Is the Pokemon part of a 3-stage line?

Got all the Pokemon and this should split it pretty evenly :D
(If I counted right, 36 possible Pokemon if yes, 38 if no)

Answer #4: No. Not part of a three-stage line.
Is it introduced in gens 6-9?
Answer #5: No. Introduced it in a different generation.

Current information:
  • Fairy, Fire, Fighting, OR Flying type
  • Single type
  • Part of an evolutionary chain.
  • Not part of a three-stage evolutionary chain
  • Not introduced in Generations 6-9

A single type that's part of a two stage line... That rules out Flying types as the only single type ones are Tornadus & Rookidee/Corvisquire.

Is it a Fairy or Fighting type ?

Answer #6: Yes. Is a Fairy or Fighting type.
does it have a signature move?
Answer #7: No. No signature moves.

hmmm... I wonder how Fairy type works for this. I assume any gen 1 through 5 Pokemon that got swapped to Fairy type in gen 6 still counts for their original generation? Like, Clefable is a gen 1 Fairy type, right?

Gens 1-5 Two stage Fairy type lines, with 1 or more pure Fairy type stages:
-Snubbull/Granbull

Gens 1-5 Two stage Fighting type lines, with 1 or more pure Fighting type stages:
-Tyrogue/Hitmonlee/Hitmonchan/Hitmontop
-Makuhita/Hariyama
-Riolu
-Mienfoo/Mienshao

Is that really all of them?
Not much left assuming I didn't miss any.

anyway...
Is it fully evolved?

Free answer: Correct. Bases information on the latest rules. Counts Clefable as a Fairy type introduced in Generation 1.

Is it Snubbull?
Answer #11: Yes, the Fairy Pokemon (both in type and classification). Was apparently a real pain to find originally. Lists it as a 1% encounter in a single route in Gold/Silver. Fixed that in Crystal.

Grants you control over the next Pokemon.

Also, a question: What is the definition of a signature move, for the purpose of this game? Understands it to be a move that no other Pokemon has (besides others in its evolutionary line).
Expands these moves to other Pokemon often, however.

Brings up Heracross as an example. Was the only Pokemon with Megahorn in Generation 2. Gave it to Rhyhorn + Rhydon, Nidoking, and Goldeen + Seaking in Generation 3. Does Heracross have a signature move?

(Did not affect this round. Checked Bulbapedia's signature move list. Was not on the list.)

I was wondering that at some point as well. Like, do only Pokemon who've kept their signature move up to the most recent generation count or does it count if it was a signature move at any point?
Could just go with that bulbapedia list, I guess.

Anyway, I've picked a Pokemon.
