4th Gen why are team galctic in iron island

i went to iron island and i battled a double team with two team galactic members but you see no more of them after that so why are they there if you know can you tell me

They are there because they need iron to make their bases and stuff, and i also think that they were looking for a moon shaped pokemon but accidentally came to iron island and not fullmoon.

If you recall they were using the energy gathered from evolution and were getting pokes to force them to evolve like the rockets did to magikarp in johto(theory)

Pokemon used to never need a plot. But now, it seems to need one. >_<

In terms of plot, it has grown from nothing into something. When they remade the original games, they added plot lines, in the older one, there was barely a plot. Again, more and more plot has been added.

My guess would be gathering supplies for their bases and plots elsewhere? Unless something specific was said by them (I don't recall, but mentioning a moon Pokemon/Cresselia was mentioned earlier in the thread, but I cannot remember their lines exactly).

Iron Island did seem kinda filler-ish, mostly there to get Riolu and not much else. They were probably there to give the escort trainer a purpose and nothing more.
