Why did you join PokéCommunity?

I joined because I was pretty bored 3 years ago, and very curious, plus I liked Pokemon a lot and wanted to join a forum because I'd just found about them.
 
Because at the time I was totally obsessed with the anime & Ash.
 
hmm, I used to visit pokemon palace alot to check for pokemon updates, so one day I accidentally clicked on pokecommunity forums on the main site, I had a look around, I saw diamond/pearl news thread thing when it was still in delvelopment, I would check it up every so often to see what other people had to say, then after a month I wanted to post a few of my own thoughts, however I just got stuck on PC...made friends etc...so yeah.
 
I was shamfully stealing stuff from people while using google images and I came across a Trainer Card shop in th section which used to exist, I had a look around and then I came across the glory of the Spriting world, all the things I had seen people do from simple old paint. I then spotted the sprite comics section and stuck to it like glue. I mainly stayed because I eventually joined a comic made by Adam148 or as he was called at the time Adamski148 then I thought he was extremely good and when I signed up my sprite sheet, which to this day had a stolen trainer sprite was accepted even though it has horrible. So I stuck around to read the comics he came out with.

Eventually I lost my conection with PC and when I came back a lot had changed plus the friends I had made either became mods or left or just stayed quiet all the time, Other than one I think.
 
I joined one day because when I got suspended from school and I got kicked off of serebii, I typed in "Pokemon forums" and this came up. So I joined it

I joined as there wasn't many people to talk about my obsession with on another board I'm a member of, I'm a first gen Pokemon fan, if that's what they call the ones who've been a huge fan since it was first aired on TV over 10 years ago... haha.
 
Well, I found this site while looking for hacks, though my friends recommended it before.

Mostly I didn't join before because I've had really bad experience with pokemon forums. I joined 3 forums that were supposedly 'great', Serebii, BulbaGarden, and PokeDream. Serebii just wasn't the right kind of forum for me, and the same with BulbaGarden.
But PokeDream... *shudders* I asked a mod if they liked one thing, and the response I got was a paragraph of cursing and the mod telling me that he would infract me or ban me. Then, I saw a thread the same mod posted. The mod thought that there was a mythical creature that would make a good pokemon. I looked at it, and it was something that would make a person who was never scared have nightmares. So I said that it might not be a good idea for a pokemon since there are 5 year olds who play pokemon (my friend's brother is one of them) and it might scare them. Again, cursing and telling me he'd infract/ban me. So I left there and was looking for a pokemon forum where the members are really nice.
I joined here and decided to test if the members were nice using the thread I made in New Users. I got about 10 replies in a few hours and I decided to be active (especially after seeing the Team Rocket and PokeSpe clubs :) )
So now I'm active after only a few days.

I joined because I thought it would be fun to play with people that I can still chat with.

And of course tournaments :)
 
To be honest I found the site through Pokemon Shiny Gold but I grew to love the community and made a seperate account (Pokemon Related)
 
Um, I think it says 2004 or 2005 up by the avatar thing.

You guise from then probably have upwards of 2000 posts by now. I'll never catch up.
 
I was searching up a Pokemon Gold/Silver remake and stumbled across Pokemon ShinyGold. I joined to download the beta, and then started posting in the Hacks Showcase section strictly, then moved on to posting in the entire Emulation forum. Then I started posting in MCG and that's when I decided to stick to PC.

So many people have joined PC because of ShinyGold.. XD;;
 
Well, i joined because I was looking at a hack of PMD (Pokemon green rescue team or something like that) and I just felt like this would be a cool place, so I joined. ^.^ So glad I did.
 
I joined here because Kiryuu(aka Angela, Toto) mentioned this forum to me. I used to love the anime very much. And I was at SPPf. But one day they made frustrated because of their rules. And plus they ignore me, so she showed me this forum.

Now I am not into the anime anymore. I am into other anime and things in this forum. I still love this forum til this day. Everyone is so nice. ^^
 
Hey there, I joined the other day 'cause my mate - Hideakikazou told me about it. We are both Admins on another Pokémon forum, but its so dead. The owner is too full on, and everyone leaves. You aren't even allowed to breathe without being reprimanded. Words such as 'damn' and 'gay' are not allowed (and gay is only used when talking about something that IS, in actual fact gay [not lame] - like gay pride for example!)

I personally saw his editing/moderation of the the word 'gay' as a homophobic attack on anyone who is LGBT, and for that reason, I started looking for a new forum. My friend, who i mentioned before stumbled across this site, liked it instantly and sung its praises, and said I should join!

Thats it really... sorry for the essay!
 
I was looking for another Pokemon forum, but I found this one. Looked really good, so I joined.

(I still haven't found that forum.)

Edit: I have, and it's virtually obsolete.

Because I wanted Pokemon episodes... and music... something like that.
