Why do we play Pokemon so much?

Yep the title says it all. I usually play it since it's kinda like my personal hobby. But the question is, why do you play it?​

I play pokemon because i've been watching pokemon ever since the first episode aired. And because it's kinda fun to train and catch pokemon.

EDIT: Now that it's moved, I played Pokémon since the begining. But, I only play it when I have nothing better to do, or when I'm too lazy to do what I have to do ;)

I play pokemon because I got a gameboy color for Christmas whenever it came out.. I was an animal lover way back then so pokemon was my drug true love. I wouldn't stop playing it till my eyes went bad. D8

Lol ok. Yeah i also got a GBC for christmas when it came out. It was green, i wanted it blue...

I dunno. It's just addictive. I started a long time ago. Even if you don't like the Anime I think it's just something you can enjoy.

I started watching the anime when it first aired. thats what made me play pokemon.

Ive played since they first came out and ive seen all episodes. I too am an animil lover and they are like animals. I also love japanese cuture and i think pokemon represents all the best of japan except sex appeal!
