I play them because they keep me distracted and also because it helps reduce boredom. If I have writer's block, I tend to play them a lot more than usual. So, it promotes a lot of procrastination as well. 8D

As someone who before wrote a lot but is in a writing slump now, I notice a lot of times I would play video games when that happens haha.

So I can fulfill my impossible and immature goal of being a hero. I'm not even kidding. I play video games because I love being the hero, or the saviour, etc of somewhere or something.

Because in a video game, you can do many things that you couldn't do in real life. Whether it be using a sword, exploring derelict ruins, even playing as the opposite gender you are in real life.
Video games make for a getaway from the real world, at least, the parts you cannot change.

When I was little, it was just for sheer entertainment.
But then video gaming became theraputic for me. In fact it helped me get out of a bottomless pit of depression when I was a freshman in High School (as crazy as that sounds).

Oh, I like playing computer games, I was great fan of them in my teenage years and I still play them time till time, however now that happens not too often because adult life is much busier :p
My the most favourite one is Half Life 2, in my opinion it's the best games which had been ever made. I played it so many times and I dream about releasing third episode some day. They should end that amazing plot! :)
I also like GTA, Hitman and Alien VS Predator series, the last one from them was really good. BloodRayne is my favourite too, in my opinion it's one of the best ones in case of main female character. Chaser, Thief and Prey are good ones too.
I like some mmorgs too, especially Cabal, Shaiya and World of Warcraft. But I don't play them often because I don't like much that donating thing for such types of games.
And I adore virtual gambling, especially online casinos https://bettingcasinoslots.com/casino-review/pink-casino/ and card games, it's a great fun for me too but I've never spent too much money on such games.
