Well, its trainer kept on training it with a relicanth while it was a wailmer, and somehow when it evolved it got the properties of a relicanth, hence the rock type.

Now why is that salamence swimming? And somehow is now a water type. O.o

Lopunny went to the sahara and was unable to take the temperature. So it adapted to it's hot habitat, that's why it became fire type.

Camerupt went to Yellowstone to see the geysers. Unfortunately it was soaked in one of them and acquired the additional water type.

Well, bulbasaur does have a bulb in its back that attracts bugs for its sweet scent and sap, somehow he made a pact with the bugs that in turn for his sap, they'll teach him how to be a bug too! And now he's happy being a part bug now!

Because Furret had a birthday party with a lot of balloons and he played and played with those balloons for a whole day! Eventually the static from his fur charged his whole body and somehow absorbed it and became an electric type!

The zigzagoon, while being an egg, somehow ended up in a durants nest, and was taken care of them, while developing, somehow it got the traits of those durants...
