    This is intended to be similar to 'Why you shouldn't use Ambipom', with an identical format. Essentially, Typhlosion is the worst RU Fire-type, being completely outclassed by Delphox, Mega Camerupt, Houndoom, and even Charizard (in some aspects), yet people insist on using it because Choice Specs Eruption is the strongest Fire-type move in the game (despite its effectiveness being greatly compromised by Stealth Rock). Typhlosion is also extremely prediction-reliant, has no dual STAB to speak of, and is quite frail for something that has to continually switch in and out.

    Thoughts?
     
    I know very little about the RU tier, but if Flareon has taught me anything it's that having the strongest move (Flareon has the strongest Flare Blitz in its tier) does not mean you aren't totally outclassed. I can easily see Typhlosion being more of a hinderance than a help, especially since for memory it has a pretty narrow movepool. I'd love to see you do a piece on it.
     
    I'm not much of a battler anymore, but it's safe to say that compared to the other more dynamic and useful fire types available in RU, Typhlosion definitely leaves something to desired. I'd like to see you expand on this - sound like an interesting read!

    I would be fine with such an article. It may (?) be better in doubles, but certainly makes sense that it doesn't hold up in even the likes of RU. Already know the format and gimmepie gave thumbs up, so quick approval! You should be able to make a thread in the subsection for the draft (or just use WordPress directly for drafting) - let me know if the former doesn't work out.
     
    not playing RU so excuse me if I'm talking shit, but I don't think stealth rock is enough of a reason to make typloshion completely useless, I mean rapid spin exists, xatu exists, defog flygon exists etc.

    also flash fire-boosted specs eruption is fucking impossible to switch into
     
    Hate me on this but ummmm,

    Typhlosion is kinda good. Have Sunny Day on it and have a RU Grass (any on your opinion) with Solarbeam and kick some bootios.
