I disapprove. Nintendo's wifi is like a second world to me. I think that when they turn off wifi, they will turn it on again in a few days, because they will feel a little guilty. It really is a great place, where people meet new friends and brag about their 6/31 IV Pokemon. It's one of the few things that unite the gaming world. I understand that nintendo wifi is costly and such, but costumers pretty much pay for it anyways.
They're moving on to newer games. Plus rarely do large companies feel guilty, as you're suggesting. It's more about money, and they'll have more money if they cut WIFI for 5 and lower. It's like saying, "It's ok that I drop a 20 dollar bill into the sewers each day on the way to work, because I make 40 dollars a day, so that pays for it."
Not practical in the money making world.
