Will Ash Utilize Mega-Evolution?

    Well, Ash fought against a Mega-Evolved pokemon before, but here is the queston; will Ash be able to have the power to mega evolve any of his pokemon? Here's a couple of topic questions to help bounce ideas;

    *Will Ash be able to Mega Evolve his pokemon? Why or Why don't you think so?
    *If Ash does get the power to mega evolve, how will he use it?
    *Will there be any lessons that Ash need to learn to mega evolve, or how to control it?
    *Which pokemon of his do you think could mega evolve in the anime? (well, actually, the only known pokemon of his that COULD mega evolve is Charizard and Sceptile, but, maybe he'd get a new pokemon that can?)

    You don't have to answer these questions word for word; again, they are just to help bounce ideas! Share any thoughts. :3
     
    If they choose to have Ash utilize mega evolution, it will absolutely have to be with a Pokémon caught in a previous saga. At this point, he's got a nearly full roster and I don't think there would be enough focus time for a new bond that could be strong enough for megaevo. I would absolutely love to have him use it, but unless he gets a stone soonish and starts working, the only plausible Pokémon to have for that would be Charizard and that would involve returning near the end of the series in time to train it in mega evolution for the league. Honestly, since Charizard is so iconic, that would be my best bet on what they gonna do. However, I still want to see more Hoenn focus and that means Sceptile or Glalie. There are also the options of Gible (would need to come back soon and fully evolve before league), Heracross (as if anyone remembers it), and Pidgeot (yeah right). Out of those, Hoenn focus is most likely and Sceptile most likely of them, because nobody cares about Glalie or Heracross, Pidgeot is realistically gone forever, and we already know (spoilers) that Goomy is going to fully evolve and that's gonna take a fair amount of development and focus which would not leave room for Gible's very similar journey. My money's still on Charizard, my hope is still for Sceptile, and I'm pretty confident that Ash will use mega evolution at least near the end of the series.
     
    Since the new dude is appearing really late with a first-stage Pokémon, I feel like he doesn't have a whole lot going as an actual rival, unless he's got something crazy up his sleeve. So maybe they could be going for having him be a sort of student of Ash? And if that's the case, I could see Sceptile coming back as a bit of a motivator for that guy and his Treecko almost like Sanpei's Greninja is to Ash's Frogadier. So as Ash works to control mega-evolution with Sceptile, the new guy works to get up to that level and maybe eventually give Ash a run for his money near the end.

    I'm also kind of thinking that because if the guy is a real rival, then holy hell he's the underdog. Ash bringing in one of his oldest, strongest, most experienced Pokémon that has a dual type advantage and then MEGA EVOLVING IT when this guy is coming in with a Treecko in the middle of the series? Shit. And I don't see that really because we can't root for him. Ash is our hero. He's the one we're meant to root for. Having him beat the shit out of some kid is not in line with the type of storytelling Pokémon does and would be a very poor choice tbh.

    I almost wonder if there was an intention to have Ash carry over Charizard from Unova to Kalos in preparation for mega evolution. I mean, I wish I had more faith in the writing and that I wasn't going to even speculate this but maybe like. They had Charizard come back for a while but then realized Ash would be incredibly OP wayyyy too early and scrapped the idea halfway through executing it. I'd like to think they were better at planning than that but... BW. I mean maybe it was a bit of a setup- Charizard comes back as a reminder and stays with Oak in preparation for the latter half of XY, but that's... just silly and unnecessary lol but its entire presence in BW was too so who even knows.
     
    Well Tierno is his rival, he just hasn't showed up again like Shauna. Anyways, it is still possible for him to get Mega Evolution.

    In the games, Mega Evolution started to slow down after the 3rd gym, but after the 6th gym, it picked up again.

    If it was me, I would let Ash get a Mega, at least for the Pokemon League, but I think they might be trying to avoid that because Pikachu is suppose to be Ash's main pokemon and they don't want to keep bringing back a Mega to replace Pikachu. Pikachu has already defeated a Mega, so they indirectly started that Pikachu is as strong as a Mega.
     
    Man all this talk about Charizard and Sceptile made me see a patern that started in hoenn....
    in hoenn Charizard.....in sinnoh Sceptile.......Unova Charizard......Kalos Sceptile?......MEGA SCEPTILE?!

    It seems it's a fact Satoshi would recieve a Mega Shinka. But not only him... Serena's gonna recieve a Mega shinka pokemon too... that's because new merchandising announced (and pretty much merchandising foreshadows items and new Pokemons).

    So, it seems Satoshi's gonna get a Mega Bangle (Jap. name of Mega Bracelet, the ORAS version of Mega Ringu)

    Were you talking to me or to IrregularHunterZ? Because while you did quote my post, it seemed more like you were talking to IrregularHunterZ since he brought up the bit about Mega Evolutions and the claim.

    Either way, if Famon is correct, this may boost the ratings significantly. If it doesn't, well, the Anime is screwed.

    I was talking to you, I wanted to know ur opinion regard this claim since for some reason I find this suspicious.. How is Serena going to get a mega ring when she doesn't even have a pokemon that's capiable of using it . Furthermore, she barely uses her pokemon for batteling.

    You do have a point, but I really don't have an opinion one way or another about its validity. The only one who might have anything to say about it is IrregularHunterZ, since he's Japanese (I think), knows how the Japanese does things, and unlike me, he most certainly can translate Japanese characters to save his life (since while I'm fairly good at Hiragana and Katakana, Kanji is my bane).
     
    Well, if we go with the idea that the main girl gets a starter Pokémon from the remakes in her generation, Serena will end up with a Pokémon capable of mega evolution. But as y'all said... what the heck is she gonna do with it lmao and how well is she going to be able to control that power when she hardly even knows what to do in a battle?
     
    yes but seeing that kid with the treecko is putting Ash's mega sceptile at risk and the rest of the kanto starter megas might goe to the kalos trio trevor tierno and shauna imao.....still rooting for mega sceptile.
     
    Seeing the current TV ranking and Merchandise Sales of Pokemon , So It not wise to let other character have fun with megevolution while Ash has kiddy adventure.
    Honestly , I'm pretty sure Kids would be thrill to see Ash's Megevolution ark in place of Korrina .
    Just imagine Ash doing thing to master Megevolution---

    Ash is the Main Protagonist and The Face of Pokemon Anime ! So if anyone has to promote Megevolution then it has to be Ash .
    This Random Alan-Flan will not work . As its seen the Pokemon sales chart dropped despite Megevolution Special which prove my theory .
    If the Idiot Director or Writer think they are doing something unique the making someone else promote Megevolution then they are Wrong .
    Because They aren't doing anything unique , What they are doing is call Stupidity.

    Now , Someone should create a poll to see What Megevolution most people want Ash to get !!!
    Mega Charizard is too predictable and we have to wait until the league for Ash to get it ! And Its a Bad idea to make Kids wait that long .
    Ash should get another Megevolution until he bring back Charizard .
    Plus , Ash is the main Character So he need something more Humanoid , Heroic and Warrior-like Pokemon.
    Normally , I would chose Mega Lucario but that road sails (Unless Ash catchs a Sliver Lucario).
    So , I think I chose Mega Gallade ! Its look majestic and A perfect choice for a Main Character.

    Or May be , Ash can catch a Banette and Megevolve it ! Nobody expect that and also Ash haven't caught his 6th Hoenn Pokemon yet.
    So far , Ash caught only 5 hoenn Pokemon.

    Hmm...banette....never thought much about that part.....well in my opinion he could meet up with sabrina who is visiting olympia to talk about psychic stuff and she purposes a trade to ash so his haunter will evolve and then maybe come back to ash as his mega.

    I guess , Ash with no Mega really hit Pokemon hard .
    Since Ash didn't had any Key-stone in the upcoming Movie , Kids probably think Ash will not get a Mega Pokemon this Year So They lose interest .
    Ash getting a Gym-Badge probably mean nothing since everyone knows Ash going to lose the league !
    There is practically no difference between rewatching AG Series in DVD and Watching XY Series on TV.
    Since the Outcome will be the Same
