Will they make the catching tutorial optional?

I hope they finally start making the Pokemon catching tutorial optional once again in Sun & Moon, it's a waste of time to be taught how to do something you've known what to do for a long time (unless you've just started playing Pokemon). It was optional in Gold & Silver, but since then everyone has been forced to go through the tutorial, which is rather stupid.

What do you think?

The way I see it, it's not a massive deal either way since it's really only a couple minutes of your time. What they could potentially do is spice up the catching tutorial so it's more engaging or interesting (maybe adding in a side-joke during the tutorial that you would cater towards people who've played the game before, for example).

Considering how it doesn't really take up that much of your time, I can't imagine them removing or making it an optional thing. It's already been made obvious that these games will be significantly more helpful with the addition of that new effectiveness of moves in battle feature (which I think is great btw).

Re-playing a few older games, I can see that they have made some tutorials optional (such as in Guardian Signs, even though I know that's a spin-off game) so I guess it's definitely a possibility. As an impatient person, I would really like it to be optional. It's a few minutes, but when you have a whole game full of new things to explore it's kind of annoying to be stuck on something you already know.

I doubt they'll make it optional again. I really prefer the optional tutorial in RBY and GSC and I wish they would make it optional again.

I am also doubting it, since this game is seeing Game Freak focus a lot on attempting to bring in a lot of newcomers as well as people who fell out of favour after an early generation.

Nah, I doubt it. Which gets annoying when SRing, or if you forget to save :(

Edit: If they didn't spend 15 seconds on each button, it wouldn't be as bad. They should do it player speed, or slightly below.

Or even an item given after for watching it?
