[Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl] Will you move things over from HOME when you can?

I don't think I will be moved anything over I am just going to build my team around the Pokémon from that gen

it will depend on how much i want to replay the game. I probably will though :)

No imports until the Champion is beat. After that, bringing in my "catch em all" team, i.e., level 100 mons with thunder wave, yawn, role play, entrainment, false swipe, etc.

I will probably move the necessary to fill the pokedex. And maybe something for battle tower stuff.

It depends. I still don't trust Pokemon Home 100% and would rather my pokemon be on my game. So any shiny pokemon I have that cannot be transferred to SwSh, I will move to new games. This will probably be the same for Legendary Pokemon, mostly event legends and not normal ones that are fairly easy to obtain.

The good thing is, if I want to replay the game, I can just use my second profile and play through the game again.

Any particular reason why you don't trust Pokemon Home? I find storage via home is much safer especially now save files get stored on the console itself instead of on the cart like pre-switch games. My sons Switch Lite actually had power issues [not his fault] and here in the UK the repair company that Nintendo use now replace parts instead of repairing which resulted in him losing his save files.

[Worth noting to UK players. The repair company here will replace your parts instead of repairing them and then later on those parts get refurbished and then used for other peoples consoles. Resulting in data lose and your consoles serial number will also be changed.]

Back to the topic in hand if home is compatible with BD/SP near release I intend to send over my shiny Mew and play through with it. I'll probably end up transferring almost everything over post game although most of my good stuff is still on the 3DS titles as I haven't played Sh/Sw much I just couldn't seem to get into them. Every other main series game since RB I have played for hundreds of hours each.

Mostly just afraid my account is gonna get hacked from random security breeches that some big companies have. Or they will delete my pokemon if I don't have an active subscription if I go so long without one. Or there is a bug and pokemon end up getting deleted like it has happened to some in the past even if the pokemon is legit. I know all are unlikely to happen, but it is still a possibility, no matter how slight.

yes! time for a new journey for my swsh-'mons c: buuut i'm planning on, at the very least, finishing up the game first before i transfer anything over.

From what we now know thanks to datamine, pokemon from Gen 5 and beyond will not be included, including the exclusion of Sylveon. It will also be much harder to transfer pokemon from Home it would seem. It in kinda hard to know right now 100% but it is possible that we will only be able to transfer pokemon from Legends Arceus or the Old 4th Gen games. Because according to datamine, it says 'traveled across space in time from the Sinnoh of Old.'

This all could be included with day 1 patch, but currently, we will not be able to transfer any pokemon from Home to BDSP except from possibly old Sinnoh Games or Legends Arceus.

This is really sad.
I was hoping to have at least until gen 7.
After all, until gen 7 every new mechanic was being added to the past generation
