Wonder Trade!

As we remember from X, Y, Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, Wonder Trade was a feature that would let you trade any Pokémon you had and someone else would send one too, and you could get potentially any Pokémon out there! This is regarded by many as extremely addicting, and it makes things more interesting when you end up with different stuff.

Do you hope Wonder Trade will be back in Sun and Moon? If so, what ways do you hope that they will fix it? Are you hoping that hacked stuff gets banned? Anything else? Discuss.

I'd like Wonder Trade to have some more options to it; being able to pick the type of Pokemon you'd like in return, level-matching, etc. Of course, you'd be able to retain the random mode if you wanted to, but trading repeatedly for the same two or three Pokemon was irritating in the sixth gen games, and it'd be irritating again. I don't think they should allow you to be TOO specific, but being able to at least remove some of the less desirable options, or be a bit more specific, would be nice.

Oh, definitely yes! Wonder trade was probably one of my favorite things about gen VI. Hopefully they'll take care of hacks, but I'm not really sure if that'll be a big possibility. Hopefully they implement more rules and regulations, and have more specific searches.

That would actually be decent. After the 50th Zigzagoon, Scatterbug, Bunnelby, Flabébé, Wurmple, etcetera, it gets annoying. It would be nice to have something that prevents too many of those from going out there.

Sadly I think it'd be hard to restrict those Pokemon from being traded :( Sometimes there are actually bred versions of those Pokemon that are decent, albeit rare. The best they could probably do is restrict you from trading so many of the same Pokemon in x amount of time but even that is unlikely IMO. I do hope this feature returns in some shape or form though. It's a great way to get rid of Pokemon you breed that are slightly imperfect :)

I'm pretty confident that Wonder Trade will go on to be a regular feature from now on. More confident than I am about Pokemon Amie, anyway. It just seems like something that is easy to implement, and is similar to the GTS. The GTS, after being introduced in Gen IV, went on to be a regular thing, after all.

Maybe they will tweak it and add a few options, but I think it's likely they'll just copypaste it exactly as is into these new games. A bit sad, because more options would definitely make others happy. (And keeping in the randomness would keep me happy.) I don't really care myself. I like it the way it is and find myself addicted to random chance even when I receive five Bunnelbys in a row.

I'd love if with WT in this new generation we could select only the 'type'.

    - Beginner Pokemon (early game mons)
    - Average Pokemon (mid-game mons)
    - Expert Pokemon (late-game mons)
    - Master Pokemon (post-game mons)

Of course you can't get Master until you get to post-game, etc, but it'll force people to trade good Pokemon for good Pokemon, because nobody gonna wanna trade beginner.

I really do hope that it comes back. Though 90% of the time you're getting Zigzagoon's or one of the other commonly wonder-traded Pokemon, it really is quite fun and a good way to pawn off some of you're useless Pokemon you have lying around.
I do hope it gets improved in a couple of different areas however. We need a bit of a filter, maybe be able to block certain Pokemon from being traded to you, or select a certain level range to be traded to you.
Some kind of filter on the hacked Pokemon would be great. Being traded a rare Pokemon and being able to determine whether it is legit or not is quite tough, and annoying as well. If this situation could be avoided entirely, that would be amazing.

Other then that though, wonder trade is already quite fun as is, and doesn't need much added to it!

I think that it will be included for sure. The real question is, will they make it better? I think that the previous ideas mentioned, mainly dealing with hackmons, and trading within the rarity of the pokemon that you offer, are great. Also, they should prevent people from spamming Wurmples like crazy, even with the tier idea mentioned implemented. To be honest, though, I'm much more concerned with GTS right now. But making Wonder Trade better would be lovely, nonetheless!

I would be really heart broken if this did not come back. While yes getting Zigzagoon's and Magikarps's are annoying, this is a fun new feature
