Worst Console Design?

    In your opinion, what do you think is the worst console design in video game history, and why? What console features does it lack, and why doesn't it look as appealing as the rest of the consoles?
     
    The Dreamcast had an ugly console and controller.

    But dude.. The original NES.. I've heard horror stories about blisters from the controller.
     
    Never really hated any console's design, but I've always hated the N64's controller. The joystick used to make my thumb swell if I used it too much. The actual console is great and I'm pretty sure it's made out of titanium, but the controller is literally painful.
     
    I'm not really concerned with how visually appealing such a machine is, but the Playstation 2 seems to have a worrying propensity for gathering dust. Still, to answer of aesthetics: I never liked the original Xbox. Shaping a product after its own logo seems inappropriately egotistical on the part of the corporation that designed it.

    Watch Angry Video Game Nerd review on Atari 5200. Seriously that video game system has the worst design, it's a giant, controllers are weird and games aren't much different than 2600 games.
     
    Like many, I don't tend to focus on console design so they don't bother me too much.

    But personally the WiiU controller looks horrible, especially considering the console is so dependent on the controller.

    The NES & SNES look horrible as well, even in comparison to the majority of retro consoles. It'll probably attract a lot of hate, but until the Gamecube and PS2 came along, I think most consoles looked terrible.
     
    Well honestly I kind of like all consoles I've played so far. (SNES, N64, PS1, PS2, Xbox, Xbox 360, Gamecube, Wii).

    It's probably unfair to judge right now, but so far my least favorite designs are with the new PS4 and Xbox that are coming out. Gaming is just turning into too much of a cash cow now, I feel as though it won't be long before I'm outside again. :(
     
    PS3 Super Slim literally looks a grill. Thank god I got the original white slim at a great price right before its announcement and release. Also, never been a fan of the N64.

    Whoa whoa whoa, hold on there. Wii U has many problems, but the controller and its ergonomics are one of the best things about it. Have you ever held one? It's no Wiimote + Nunchucks but it's super comfortable, and probably the best controller I ever held if you ask me. (Battery life aside, I cannot think of any flaw about it.) Playing New Super Mario Bros U, Super Metroid, Sonic Racing Transformed or anything on that thing is completely satisfying and would rather not have it any other way.

    I'm baffled people tend to underrate it or overlook it without giving it a try. It's a really great controller.
     
    Well, the original Xbox had a clonky design and the Sega Saturn was ugly and horrible :P The GameCube looked like a kids lunchbox and the Atari 5200 was just too huge :P
     
    I hear the new XBox One is going to be horrible in every way imaginable..

    No, okay. Worst console I have owned is the Atari. Ouch.
     
    I like most system designs, though the XBox One looks like an oversized DVD Player to me. v__v; I don't like the way the Dreamcast looks either. Both are very clunky and unappealing.
