Would Yar Want the responsability of being a Mod?

Chose Yes, but Only because I've always wanted to be a moderator of a really big forum, but I know how hard it is, well I can guess how hard it is, especially with all the spammers forums get now adays its extreamly hard, and I thank The moderators at PC for keeping the spam under control! :)

Well, I know all the work that must be done, because I'm a Root at kForums (Powers of an Abby here), but that's only 70 something members and it's still quite a bit of work.

My answer would be 'Yes' because even though it's so much work, I'd do it for PC...

All I need to keep me happy is be apart of this community, and help when I can. Though I've been stuck working at big communities for a good 3-4 years, so I can take a bit more stress. ^_^ Overall I wouldent care what happens.

No. I was a moderator a while ago, and it was more work than I thought. And really, nobody cares that you're a MOD but you. You strive so hard and want so much to be this great person, helping out the community, and you get stuck with a minimum wage job, haha. People don't really start paying attention until you your an S-MOD, but back on track. I liked being a MOD, mostly for the title. But, when you're a moderator, you have to be a certain way, and I don't really fit into that mold. SO, it didn't work out.
 
Ehh…it's old, but if discussion is going I'm not going to kill it off.
And like I said, I am one so I guess I'd kinda have to accept the responsibilities. =x
 
well of course you would,you already did.

i would.i know it is hard,as said by many mods.but id do it.i will probably never get the chance,but id do it.
 
Hmm i would be up for taking the responsibility of being a mod.Im very fremiliar with all the admin and mod and super mod functions .Im and admin of my own forums also im and executive[Like a praetor]At Darkavengercobra' forums] A.K.A The rom hackers forums I think i would do a great job if i ever got the chance To be a mod.[Note being a mod isnt just for the title its also work]
 
Somehow, it seems to me that I'm not the best mod in the place anyway... I spam too much. XD *points @ sig* It's a good reputation to have. XD
 
Well I can remember a looooong time ago when I wanted to be a mod.

But now I don't. Why? I've found there is way too much contaversy and I don't handle that stuff well. Why do I say that? Well I have the huge temper, and whenever anyone challenges my opinion I get really really mad, and start a big flame war. Strange enough, politics is one of the things I don't get angered in very often. Maybe because I'm a moderate...but I do get angry at both sides, haha.

Well that's the reason I don't want to be a mod...anymore...
 
Me and JA... PC's worst mods. We spammed that lounge like you wouldn't believe... :-/

One thing about being a mod is that you have to think ahead. Like if you're having a really bad week/month, just don't quit... take a leave of absense or something. ._.;;

But yeah, being a mod can be a lot of work, especially when you feel the need to read every single thread. X_x It can become a real pain after a while...

*sighs*


Oh, about the topic, yes, I would. I loved modding. It's one of the best experiences someone can have, knowing that you have the power to make something happen...

So am I. I'm an admin on two other forums, a praetor on one and an S-mod on one, and it's too much work o_O. I don't even have much time for my own forums now o_O... everyone chews me out about it. If we had more members and the forum was more active I might visit it more often, but for now PC strikes me as more "fun". XD

I remember that. =\ I used to be very much like that, I'd hit New Posts, frantically hit Mark As Read so none got caught between the gap, then read every single one. Never ending, terribly afraid to even let PC go for a minute. x_x Really DOES wear you down.
