I been playing Pokemon Yellow and I evolved my Pikachu to a Raichu a long time ago. Now I beginning to miss talking to my Pikachu to see how it felt about me. So I ask you all, Would you keep Pikachu in Pokemon Yellow just so you can talk to it?

To be honest, I didn't even know you could get rid of the Pikachu, so, no, I probably wouldn't miss it.

    Yeah, I think I would. :P
In my opinion, Pikachu walking with you is the best part of Pokémon Yellow.

To me, it was the only thing that made Yellow more interesting than Red and Blue. So yeah, he stayed a Pikachu here.

So, did you trade your pickachu to another game, evolve it, and then trade it back?

I wasn't aware that Pikachu could be evolved in Yellow... did you trade in one from another game, or something?
The biggest appeal of Yellow was that you had a Pikachu following you around in the first place, so yes, I did keep my Pikachu. =PP

I traded Pikachu to Pokemon Red and evolved it because it was the strongest member in my Pokemon Yellow and traded it back to see if there was a walking Raichu. :(

No. It's far too lightweight, even with Surf.

Also Pikachu = most annoying Pokemon. Ever. Raichu is at least bearable.

The Pikachu was level 100. I defeated the elite four without changing once. "Used a lot of revives and elixirs though."

Well yeah but you could realistically defeat the Elite Four with any Lv 100 Pokemon if you have enough potions to replenish yourself with.

The original question was "would you keep Pikachu so you could talk to him", and my answer's still no. But then I strongly dislike Pikachu so maybe i'm a little biased lulz.

...that's actually pretty neat, I didn't know you could do that. o_o
Anyway, no, I wouldn't. That was the only thing that bothered me about having Pikachu in Yellow. I hate having anything follow me around in games, I always feel like I should try and "lose" it or something. When I first played Colosseum I would constantly try to get Rui stuck behind a building or something so I could get away from her. ._.

I liked having Pikachu follow me when I first played Yellow, but I'm replaying it now and all I can think is, "wth is this, it won't leave me alone and it doesn't even evolve, this is so annoying."

I would dump him in the PC as soon as I get another pokemon. Then if I needed a electric-type I would catch another pokemon :)

I thought you couldn't get rid of him for a long time. But when I found out you could, I kept him anyway because for the longest time, it was the only game where a Pokemon followed you. And oddly enough, Pikachu is my least favorite Pokemon. You think I would have deposited it when I found out it was possible, haha. Now that we have HGSS, I wouldn't mind ditching him now I suppose...

whenever i play yellow i always keep my pikachu. i dont think i have ever got rid of/evolved it either.

I always kept pikachu and trained it evenly with all the other members of my team. I guess for me it didnt seem right to get rid of what was kinda the selling point of the game.

I wouldn't evolve it in any game until lv 40-ish for thunder.
I like to have the little guy follow me around though, so yea, i'd keep him.

    IAWTC

I hated Yellow when I was younger because I couldn't get a squirtle until later on in the game, so I deposited Pikachu any chance I got when I played the game.
