Would you kill to save a life?

If they where trying to kill a person then yes I would.
 
I'm against killing others because it seems immoral to me, even if it means saving someone else.
 
Quite the good/situational question here. For me, if it had a chance for good to come out of it, then yes i would. Say i was in Nazi Germany in 1940. I wouldn't hesitate to kill Adolph Hitler, because it would save millions upon millions of people. Other that that im not sure.
 
So either the murderer dies or the relatively innocent victim does? Doesn't seem like much of a moral dilemma to me. If anything the problem there for me would be "what if he kills me first when I try to kill him?" I have no problems killing a person to save another.
 
Of course, Gavin. I will kill Bob Saget to save your life. Obviously you are more important to me than a celebrity, so I wouldn't hesitate at all. Okay, to be honest, I wouldn't even reconsider killing someone if I knew that a loved one of mine would be murdered if I don't.

I might not be able to finish him or her off, however. Most likely, I would just leave them in a state where he or she would be incapable of using a weapon and moving. Calling the police and letting the law handle this should be more preferable. My nature just won't let me take the life of another person, sorry.
 
No. If you kill someone, even if it means saving someone else's life, it doesn't changed the fact that you killed someone and you're as just as bad as he is, making other people's life also miserable. Also, I couldn't live with the fact that I killed a person, even though how evil he is.

Though it really depends on the situation. I am not about to hesitate if he already killed someone. Of course, it would be too late, but an eye for an eye, right? Though I might get crazy afterwads.

Depends. I mean if the person I really, REALLY care is the case here, then yeah, I will most probably kill the person who is harming him/her. If someone tries to harm my little sister or my mother, then here's when it's different; I would instantly kill him without second-guessing my choice, no matter who he/she is.
 
Depends on multiple things. If I had to kill a stranger to save my mom, of course I would, If I had to kill my brother to save my Sister (this is just an example) It would be much harder.
 
Depends on who's life, probably. If it was someone I love, like, REALLY love, then yes. Otherwise, I'd rather knock the moron unconscious.
 
There is a very short list of people that I would consider having to resort to those extreme measures in order to save their life.

Yeah, I'd rather do something like that, incapacitate the assailant to save the other person. If that wasn't an option and the person was clearly in danger from someone with intent to kill them, only then might I consider taking a life.
 
Depends who is involved. If it were to save the life of a family member or extremely close friend, I would, without a doubt.
 
No. I couldn't kill, I'd rather just leave them in pain, killing is just something I couldn't do. I'd feel really guilty if I did, even if it was protecting a loved one. It's not something I could stoop to.
 
Nope, not a chance. I have no right to take someone's life, and as others have said before me, if the situation was heavy, I'd try to resort to other solutions. I'm not your Prince in a horse charging into battle for your princess's blond hair, sorry. Given that, I'd feel worse if I killed someone than let someone I love die. Plus, so far, I don't think that my loved ones need someone to save them. :3
 
depends entirely on the potential victim and the potential life i'd be saving + the circumstances of each individual. if i encountered this deal with no knowledge of any of the above, i would walk away.

I don't think I'd be able to take a life anyway, but if I did, it'd have to be in the same circumstances as the above post.
 
...nope, I have enough issues when someone else kills a bug around me, making me feel guilty. XD;

I couldn't go ahead with killing anyone, or any creature because the guilt would haunt me.
 
Yeah, it all depends on who the person is.
I would likely kill if I were to defend a family member for example, and also, it's a bit personal (yah yah xD) I would kill to save myself if I needed too >.>
But it depends on what the agressor has as weapon xD
If I have my fits, and he as a gun, oh my god I just take the person and run as fast as possible with them xD

Now we need a "Would you kill to prove you're right" topic unless we already have it xD
