6th Gen X/Y General Chat and Speculation

I'm hoping that Helioptile gets moves other than its Electric/Normal STABs and Rock Slide, so that Golett and Golurk won't wall it completely.

Anything up at the moment is just a reconstruction of what was heard in the background during e3. So it should sound fairly similar to this.

It reminds me of Hoenn music.
 
I think the beserk gene might be the thing that transforms mewtwo into Awakening form. I am just speculating here. It's more of a chance of something new but it kind of makes sense for Beserk gene to make the transformation happen.

Also the X and Y battle theme DOES sound like hoenn music.
Hint of hoenn remakes possibly? (It's gonna happen.)
It fits into the genetics theme although.
 
I heard it before, and it honestly reminds me of Orre as well as Hoenn.

By the way, shouldn't CoroCoro be scanned by tomorrow? Or Friday?

We're not guaranteed any scans at all actually. They can come up tonight, tomorrow...three weeks from now or even never. Usually we get leaks on the 11th, but I heard a rumor that CoroCoro could either be earlier (which would explain the rumor on the 9th) or later due to a holiday coming up in Japan near the 15th.

We really just have to keep watch for sites updating the leaks.

Yeah Marine day is on my birthday the 15th of July this year so Corocoro is coming out on the 13th of this month. So we should expect some soon.
 
I'm surprised no one talked about the CoroCoro leaks. What a bunch of Pokémon! Pancham's evolution looks badass! And that rumour guy is totally right according to this Corocoro leak The evolution of Pancham is indeed Dark/Fighting, we have 2 squid Pokemon, and they are Dark/Psychic. And he is right about the types from Xerneas and Yveltal. Not going to spoiler the rest for you all! The rest of the new Pokemon are decent, and I would like to see their evolutions.

Goronda has 2 really good abilities in Iron Fist and Mold Breaker. Mold Breaker lets it bypass Sturdy users. While it's true that Iron Fist boosts the power of Hammer Arm, I don't think the ability will see much use until Goronda gets more punching moves (like the elemental punches via move tutor or Heart Scale move).
 
I think we might FINALLY have a chance on getting the so much wanted Dark-type Gym. :D If you look closely on the page where there are that Zakuro or whatever his name was, in the game the gym looks really dark. So could it be that maybe he's specialized in Dark-type? Also, to me, his appearance messages that it's a high possibility.

Also, to me that blond haired guy with those robotic arms messages that he might just be Steel-type specialist so it may be that we have Steel-type Gym coming too.

When it comes to these new pokémon that were leaked... I'm absolutely THRILLED! :3 First of all, Pancham's evolution Goronda looks really awesome and fierce. I was so scared that they made it look like Beartic, no offense to Beartic-fans personaly, which as a design looked horrific. But this is just PERFECT!

I also like those squid-like pokémon Maika and Karamanero. They're design resemble somewhat the First Generation pokémon overall which I like and no other has yet to have this type combination of Dark/Psychic.

The only one I do not like is how that Cotton Candy pokémon turned out to look. Did I understand correctly but isn't it supposed to be like... a bird or something? :/ And did anyone see but that pink coloured Shushup resembles a lot of Flamengo bird. Could it's evolution look something like an actual Flamengo bird?
 
Zakuro maybe a Rock type gym leader as he has gems on his hair, and likely his gym is a mine. Also according to a post I read in another thread one of the characters in his name stands for Stone, so it seems he's Rock. The robotic armed gym leader could also be electric, as his color scheme screams electric.
 
I'm personally hoping Zakuro isn't a Rock type Gym Leader. I'm totally in biased in the sense that I'm just sick of Rock type Leaders, so I guess I'm definitely hoping he is a Dark Gym Leader (although knowing Game Freak it will end up with him as a Rock type guy). I'm personally hoping the other one is a Steel type Gym Leader though. I kind of want to have someone who has an obsession with machinery and Pokémon similar to it, instead of just being "Electricity runs them!"
 
Well Citron is a plant, so I think there's a high chance that he will be our Grass type gym leader and then Zakuro I can't really tell. When I hear machinery I think Steel and mechanics but it could easily be interpreted as something different.
 
Grant (Zakuro) has large rocks and what looks to be crystals in his gym, which seems to hint he's the first none first Rock type gym leader. At least they decided to push the guy up.
And I'm guessing Clemont is our resident Electric gym leader (we've had one every generation except for 2 but that's because Kanto is assessable so Surge is the one for both Gen 1 and 2 and remakes)

Every gym leader's name in Japanese is a plant name. Zakuro is Japanese for pomegranate, for instance. Some are just adapted from non-Japanese names, like how Iris' Japanese name is also Iris.
 
i still find it hard to beleive that none of the pokes dont have a 4 evolution, besides evee, but u cant really count them has a evolution line
