there is a lot of great stuff going for it, giving you the ability to travel to all past regions after becoming champion, and for the first time ever, each professor will give you one starter from THAT region!

I don't want to give too much away ;)

I hope no one else acknowledges your post. Going to a second region would make the game cost twice as much to develop. Going to 6 regions would make the game cost six times more. These people make games for a living, they are not stupid. If they did already develop all 6 regions in the new style, they could release 6 games and make 6 times as much money.

I saw somebody mentioned that Lemon is in Clemont and there's some kind of experiment you can carry out where you can generate electricity from a lemon.

I've never heard of it but maybe it's true? (I've heard of generating electricity from a potato...)

as SnowpointQuincy said it would be more profitable to make each seperate, though i must admite it would be cool if this happens, but i doubt it and 6 diffenernt regions and whole gameplays packed into one game, must either mean that x and y is really short or is so messed up, that they feel the need to add more

Has anyone already formed a Team of SIX from the pre-released pokemon? I just did.

Pokemon X Team
Starter - Chespin >>>Grass
Clauncher >>>Water
Helioptile >>>Electric/Normal
Inkay >>>Dark/Psychic
Swirlix/Flabebe >>>Fairy
Vivillon >>>Bug/Flying

I picked Vivillion and One of the Fairys becasue I DON'T normally pick those kinds of Pokemon. I like to challenge myself to try new things each time trough. I don't Like Swirlix, but just like Garbador, it might surprise me!

Noivern and Honedge are cool buy not on my list because they are probably too powerful/ too late in the game.

P.S. Wasn't there a thread for picking an XY team? I looked HARD to find it.

I predict Electric will be super effective to fairy and light type will be added

Look! They're using Houndour! And that scene is beautiful.

Which would make Chespin and Fennekin less used...well mostly Chespin suffers as one of the gym leaders is Bug. Now if Grant is Rock then Fennekin will also have a difficult time depending on when it is they appear. Irc the bug gym leader is the first one.

This reminds me how very little-used Chikorita is in the Johto games, mainly due to it being more defensive and loads of its weaknesses are present, like Bug, Flying and Poison. I wouldn't be surprised if so many of Grass' weaknesses were present poor Chespin would go from "second most popular" to least used.

The tables sure are turning, this could probably see Froakie having a huge jump in usage and maybe even popularity. And that is a reason I love the Water starters, they are the most usable throughout the game.

Chespin may see some use against Viola (and Team Flare, assuming they specialize in Fire Pokemon) because it gets Rollout to squash Bug, Fire, Ice and Flying Pokemon with.

The main problem though is that Rollout is pretty weak attack to begin with, but something interesting on a pure Grass-type. But still, if Grant is revealed as a Rock specialist this could see a huge jump in Froakie usage. I know that in Hoenn, the Water-type was most used (Mudkip) because it could easily deal with most of the Gyms.

And in Unova, I remember Oshawott once being the least popular but then it became the most used mainly due to Snivy's line being more defensive-based and Tepig's line evolving into Fire/Fighting-type, which most fans got sick of at that point. See, some starters can actually be great even when it gets less love due to design, and I'd be surprised if Froakie suffered this fate as well.

Yeah, I guess you have a point. However, I'm sure there are lots of people like me who don't care which Pokemon make the games easier. I will pick Chespin because I like it's design better than Froakie and Fennekin. You're right in saying many people like to take the easy way out, but I'm sure Chespin will still get heaps of love, especially if it evolves into a Grass/Ground beast like Torterra.

I chose Chespin because I thought Grass would be more challenging... Then the Villian became all Fire-Type trainers...

Yep! Sticking with Chespin!

Gym types only really matter for the starters in the first two gyms. (maybe three at a stretch)

By the time you get to the third gym there's usually plenty of options.

I wouldn't pick my starter based on gym leaders or the evil team, I'll just catch something to make up for my weakness.

Unless Fire or Grass types are super effective against Fairy Type, although I doubt the Antagonists specialty will have any affect on how people choose their starters. I'm still sticking by my choice of Fennekin regardless of the fact that they're fire specialists!

Here is a big stretch. We might assume Fairy resists Fire. The Evil Team is Fire. What if ALL 3 Starters evolve FAIRY type to resist Evil Team's Fire Pokemon?

Not likely, but Fairy does need to bring up its numbers being a new type and all.

A lot of new features will be added that are pretty fun I think, I personally engoyed the POKÉ-CRANE minigame, which gives you a chance to win pokéballs, and if you're lucky, some pokéballs contain pokémon!

Another new feature is called the ULTIMATE BATTLE Stadium, where you can collect armor for your Pokémon that makes them stronger and battle. It's based on the Mewtwo armor as seen in Pokémon The Movie: Mewtwo Strikes Back.

X & Y has a lot of new features going for it I think all you kiddies will like.

Do you have any proof to back any of this up? Seems like your just making things up.
