Look up some basic info on bulbapedia about IV's and EV's first for background knowledge then look up a guide about breeding. Theres plenty out there and mostly the same.

Look up some items that will help you a lot :

    Destiny Knot
    Everstone

And also look up pokemon that aid with hatchinge.g. flame body ability (and Magma armor is the other I think?)

    http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Flame_Body_(Ability)

    And Hatching O-powers.

If you want to see how natures and IV's/EV's affect the end result you can use a program called PKHex to plan out your pokemon, thats what I do anyway. Then its a case of trying it out, youll learn far more from trying that reading.

If you can get hold of a 6IV ditto that would also help you out immensely.

The Shiny Charm doubles the chances of getting a Shiny from wild encounters and breeding.
The last I read it was uncertain if that also included Friend Safaris but the thought is yes it does.

If you are using parents with 2 different language tags (MM) then the chances of getting a shiny are something like 1/something a little less than 700. (680 I think)

  • Where can I evolve my Magneton?

    Simple as that.

Edit: and another question: where can I find the eviolite in this game if I decide to not evolve it?

I've moved your questions into our X/Y Q&A thread, since that's where questions generally should go.

striderviper already answered your Magneton question, but as for Eviolite, you can get it in Shalour City.

    Keldeo
    Meloetta
    Genesect
    Diancie
    Hoopa
    Volcanion

They are all considered event pokemon therefore not obligatory for obtaining shiny charm. Note that:

Volcanion hasn't been oficially introduced yet,
Phione can be breed from Manaphy
You can casually catch Deoxys in OR/AS

Still you don't require any of them.

  • Battle Maison XY Questions:

    1. What determines the order of your trophies and their positions?

    2. Chatelaine Evelyn and Morgan each have 4 pokemon. In Super Multi Battle, what determines which 2 pokemon they will each use? Or is it random?

    3. I currently have a streak of 49 in Super Multi Battle. I did this through teaming up with a CPU. But for the final battle, if I choose the option to team up with a real friend (or my 2nd 3DS) with a streak of zero, what happens? Will the other person also get the trophy even though they only had a streak of 1? I'm contemplating whether I should do this to give a friend the trophy the easy-way, and also because I don't trust the CPU teammate that much.

    Breeding for perfect 6 IVs.

    Hello everyone!

I have been stumped on this question. I have been trying to breed shiny Pokemon with all 6 IVs being perfect. I have many foreign (Japanese, Korean, Spanish, French, etc.) males, but the problem is they only have perfect IVs in 1-3 stats. What I was wondering and testing (with no luck so far), is if I breed a male with let's say 1, 2, or three perfect IVs with a female that possesses 6 perfect IV stats (holding a Destiny Knot of course) is there ANY way the offspring will have a chance to have perfect IVs? I have hatched about 20 eggs so far (the father being a 6 IV Eevee and the mother being a 2 IV Zoroark) and so far nothing with perfect stats. The babies have anywhere from 2-4 perfect IVs. Basically all I'm asking is if it is possible to hatch a perfect offspring when only one parent is "perfect"? And if so, what are the percentage odds the egg will be perfect?

(P.S- I was also wondering if you had one parent with three perfect IVs (HP, Attack, Defense) and another parent with the other three perfect IVs (Sp. Atk, Sp. Def, Speed) is there a possibility for the offspring to have all six? Again, if so what are the odds?)

    Thank you so much!

  • To get the Shiny Charm do you need to catch every Pokemon so they have a Kalos symbol next to their name or is it ok for a Poke Ball Symbol for Non-kalos native Pokemon.

It's okay to have the Pokéball symbol. Also, be aware that you don't need to have the event-exclusive legendaries (Mew, Celebi, etc...) registered in your dex to get the Shiny Charm.

Here's a list of 'mons you don't need in order to get the Shiny Charm...

    Mew
    Celebi
    Jirachi
    Deoxys
    Darkrai
    Manaphy
    Phione
    Shaymin
    Arceus
    Victini

This incredibly useful website is exactly what you're looking for: http://destinyknot.tk

    For your Zoroark/Eevee case:
    Breeding parents 31/31/31/31/31/31 and 31/31/x/x/x/x
will produce a 31/31/31/31/31/31 Pokemon 0.3255% of the time or 1 out of every 307.2000 eggs!
    For your "P.S." case:
    Breeding parents x/x/x/31/31/31 and 31/31/31/x/x/x
will produce a 31/31/31/31/31/31 Pokemon 0.0977% of the time or 1 out of every 1024 eggs!
So yes, it's possible in both case. The Destiny Knot guarantees that 5 random IVs will be inherited from the parents, while the 6th IV is left purely up to a 1 out of 32 chance (the usual odds.) So long as any parent has a perfect IV in one stat, the offspring can possibly inherit it, with 2 6 IV parents having the highest likelihood. :)
