Ah ****, really? Part of me can wait for the next main series game, but part of me is like "just ****ing announce the game already god".

Apparently that's what it says in the episode description on the TV Tokyo website. Being stubborn, I'm going to hold on to the hope that he may just surprise us still. But to be honest, I'm starting to get a little infuriated even though I shouldn't be. We may end up waiting until January or February to hear something, that's around the time that Zoroark was first revealed with a silhouette.

That would explain the Ongaku (music) appearing in Masuda's tweets. Maybe next month's corocoro or when(ever) the Direct is going to happen...
 
Coro-Coro better come out soon. And this time, they better have some useful information about the new Pokemon games, not some freaking events.

i highly doubt we're getting an announcement this year and if we do it will be 20 year anniversary of when the red & green where originally set to be released: dec 21 1995

if things had gone according to plan, this year would be the 20th anniversary.

I'm thinking that you may be right. Hopefully the wait would only be two months and six days after such announcement so it will come out exactly at the 20th anniversary like OrAs were for RS' 12th anniversary in JP (and Japanese GS' 15th...).

As Joe mentioned and I have also kept saying on here, both DP release and P(t)'s reveal, and BW release and B2W2's reveal had longer gaps than OrAs's release and whatever is next do thus far. I guess that since B2W2, XY, and OrAs came closer than most of the other games the return to mid Gen V wait times feels long, especially for us outside of Japan who have had a game come out every year since Platinum in 2009 (since then we got HgSs 2010, BW 2011, B2W2 2012, XY 2013, OrAs 2014. Japan meanwhile had Pt 2008, HgSs 2009, BW 2010, B2W2 2012, XY 2013, OrAs 2014).
 
It looks like our last hope for an announcement outside of an off-chance CoroCoro is the Nintendo Direct we're supposed to be getting before the end of this year. And come to think of it, it's been only two months since Zygarde's Formes were "officially" revealed... this is not counting the very first teaser we got back in July, at the end of the Hoopa movie in Japanese theaters. IIRC, Platinum was announced roughly 2-3 months after Giratina's Origin Forme was officially revealed.

Yeah, it was three. Giratina and Shaymin's new formes were revealed around RG's 12th anniversary (funny since DP came out during the 10th anniversary year...hmm Zygarde's cavern in XY has the orbs of the Creation trio and it's game is believed to be the 20th anniversary year game...) and Platinum was announced in May, and the game came out that September. If such pattern is followed then we will get the game announcement next month (Since the corocoro issue with the formes were two months ago), and the game will come out by April. Perhaps the most we can look forward to in this upcoming issue of corocoro is a hint of big news for the January issue (the issue coming out this month will be December issue so technically the last issue of the 2015 cycle).

it's really not that surprising, the anime tends to keep more of a constant then the games.
and by constant, i mean 1 episode ea week except for occasions &/or situations
once XY & Z's japanese date was announced it isn't that hard to figure out when the next on is coming.
i just hope they dub that cilan & brock episode in-between X&Y and XY&Z, kind of the perfect time for it
 
Well, we should talk about what Pokemon will get mega evolutions in Z. What Pokemon do you want to get mega evolution? Maybe Kalos starters or other Pokemon that deserve it.

I don't mean to sound rude or mean, I don't have such intentions either. We've talked about it last few pages ago, but hey why not tell us the Megas we might be seeing/you wanna see? :)

I'm aware of all that. My point is that with the XY&Z season coming to the US very soon, that should mean that a game announcement is very imminent now that Zygarde promotion via the anime is starting to go outside of Japan. Especially with the US, since they are the second biggest consumers of Pokemon behind Japan.

We aren't even 12 full months from the 1st anniversary of OrAs. DP's release and Platinum's announcement were like 20-1 months apart while BW and B2W2 were like 17, it's entirely possible for it to take longer than 2-3 months.

As for possible release dates we should keep in mind the games' relationship with the mascot's movie, Emerald and Platinum both came out after DD and GaSWS movies. Pokémon Crystal also came out after it's movie. The only games that came before mid July that were third version/sequels were B2W2 and that was only half a month. Pokémon 4Ever and Crystal had the longest gap at five months, so if they did a reversal of 4Ever and Crystal it would put the game in at least February. It'll be weird for the game to come out so early compared to the movie that is usually used to advertise the third version/sequel but then again Pokémon XY & Z season is having Zygarde appear in the anime ahead of the others...so the usual order is off.

I had a feeling we're gonna get an announcement in September and look where we r now without even a single clue hehe.
At this rate I won't be suprised if we get news in Feb or later.

I just remembered that we still don't have a release date for both Pokemon GO and Pokken for the Wii U, except that both are coming out next year. I wonder... maybe they'll reveal their release dates and the new game announcement all at once, in the upcoming Nintendo Direct? That would be a lot to take in, but we do know that GO is somehow connected or compatible with the main series games.
 
Wasn't it rumored that GO would have more info come out last month? I don't think that ever came.

The Direct could very well be near the original release date of RG Dec 21st, as the December ones are quite late. We could also get a Pokémon Direct Z edition...

Wouldn't this be too much to take in for some fans? I can't say that it could be a bad thing, though, haha.
