I doubt that "Z" will make the current timeline any less complicated in terms of which games belong to which continuity. ORAS was a big retcon of XY which had Megas be exclusive to the Kalos region. At this point they might as well remake all of the gens in this Generation and move on to the future beyond XY...

That brings back memories of how a lot of us on this site expected Zygarde to be found in the tall mountain near Anistar. Hmm, all three places mentioned are near Anistar...
Also a Team in the past was mentioned to be looking for a legend nearby by an NPC girl in Anistar.

This just made me realize something. Ok, so remember how ORAS insinuates that there's a strong connection between Mega-Evolution and meteorites? Again, the Anistar Sundial is hypothesized in X/Y to actually come from space. Also, Terminus Cave(Zygarde's location) is a short distance away from Anistar City. Coincidence? If there's going to be any connections being made to bridge ORAS and X/Y, I believe that Zygarde and the Anistar Sundial are going to be key elements to that connection.

Also... since the official website has updated with Zygarde stuff, including the English version, something tells me we're going to be getting a worldwide announcement and possibly a trailer for the upcoming games. And something tells me it's going to be real soon. Like maybe even 2-3 weeks from now. I would honestly be really surprised if we waited any longer than that, you guys.

Well TGS is going to take place this week, they might announce it/them there :). If not then next Corocoro maybe?

I don't think they've ever announced a Pokemon game at a big event like TGS, so I doubt they'll announce it there. Plus, that would be too close to Super Mystery Dungeon's release date and could end up cutting into sales if they announce it then. I'd say either the next CoroCoro or the one after that would be more likely since those will be closer to the premiere of XY&Z. They could also announce it on October 4th when the show that's replacing Pokemon Get TV starts.

Lately their announcements have been interesting. BW were announced in Corocoro, B2W2 was announced in Pokémon Smash, XY were announced in a Direct focused on Pokémon, and ΩRαS were announced in a Business briefing (similar to Go) irc. XY and ORAS show that there is a first time for everything.

They might, but is TGS a Japan-only thing? I'm asking because I'm not familiar with TGS so I don't know if they would do a worldwide announcement from there or not, and this is if they even plan on doing a worldwide announcement to begin with. Though I think that the English Pokémon website updating with Zygarde stuff around the time that CoroCoro released it in Japan is an indication that we will be seeing another worldwide announcement regardless.

I'm dying to see the connection between Zygarde and Xerneas and Yveltal... because to me, Zygarde almost looks alien compared to them. Sure, it has a dog and snake Form... but they still almost look alien.

If Xerneas represents life and Yveltal represents death, then I see Zygarde as the one who represents the mother earth, where life and death are at play. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Yes it is. Well Corocoro and the Pokémon variety shows are also Japan-only yet they've announced games before. The official site updates soon after (that was the case in Gen V at least when those two things showed of the Unova pairs).

The connection is more in what they represent Zygarde is the Order Pokémon, it's purpose is to make sure the balance of nature is stable (much like Rayquaza did in Emerald "The balance of power has shifted" were it's arc words.) I also think that the link is stronger when you look at Hinduism possibly being an inspiration for the trio. The main Hindu Trinity are Shiva the Destroyer (Yvetal), Brahma the creator (Xerneas), and Vishnu the maintainer (Zygarde. Zygarde is the maintainer more or less of the Biosphere and the other two members of it's duo). Fun fact: Both Norse mythology and Hinduism are indo-european religions which share a lot in common with one another as well as Greek and Roman mythologies (Indra, Zeus, Jupiter, and Thor being the most commonly given example of their similarities).

Why I post this here !!!
Well Because , Greninja seem to using Aqua Jet .
But Greninja can't learn Aqua Jet.
So , Does Ash-Greninja has different move-pool ? Is that really Aqua-Jet ? Or Does Ash-Greninja has any special ability to manipulate Water ??

Xerneas is life
Yvetal is destruction.
zygarder is order.
they each represent one have of a fundamental thing: life & death, destruction & creation, order & chaos.
also if you look at the other legendarys of this gen, hoopa is a being of chaos, diancie is a being of creation.
death is a by-product of both life & destruction. you live only to one day die. az might be considered an immortal now but without a doubt he will one day die, he just has more life energy then normal humans. the only reason he's referred to as an immortal is because he believed himself that he would become one & has yet to die. if he doesn't die then his everlasting growth will eventually be enough to weigh down the entire planet. well, that or his body would break apart. it would take a billion years or so, but one day he'd be able to hold a family of wailords in the palm of his hand... that is unless he somehow stops growing like a very slow growing tree...

What makes you think AZ is still growing (he became immortal as an Adult too)? He was tall even before he died by the looks of it.

I think that one of the "new" Pokemon that are going to be shown in the anime is going to be Volcanion (every likely in a new forme/Mega/Primal like Shaymin and Keldeo who appeared alongside the third version mascot in the movie, yes I think Volcanion will appear in the movie)

because he continued to age even after becoming immortal:
Gameinformer: The giant man named AZ was a surprising addition to the story of the game. Was everybody from 3,000 years ago on the Pokémon planet as big as him? What story was the team trying to express by including this character?
Masuda: AZ used a machine to bring his beloved Pokémon back to life. By doing so, he gave his Pokémon eternal life, and he was also affected by this. Part of that was him turning into a giant and still living even after 3,000 years have passed. However, unlike his Pokémon, he still grew old. Was living so long a good thing for AZ? Was using the machine to give his Pokémon eternal life a good thing? I wanted to express these things as well as as the differences between the encounters and losses that we experience in our lives compared to what AZ feels about the encounters and losses he has experienced over 3,000 years. However, what I most wanted to express with this character was the bonds between people and Pokémon.

could be dive, that move hasn't been shown in the anime yet. those using aqua jet don't tend to have glowing involved, but the two water HM moves that have appeared in the anime showed glowing at at least 1 point each
waterfall:

&surf has triggered a glowing effect on at least 1 pokemon in the anime
[PokeCommunity.com] X/Y Third Version Speculation Thread

so odds are its using dive or it's torrent ability was triggered.
now that i think about it, ash's chimchar/monfeno/infernape trigger its blaze ability, ash's grovyle/sceptile triggered it's overgrow & leavanny triggered swarm making torrent the only elemental variation of these abilities that none of ash's pokemon have used.
also, if its aqua jet ash needs to be banned for hacking, lol

It looksto methat Greninja in one scene looks like regular Greninja while in the whirlpool/water vortex then it changes to it's Ash like form.
well, it wasn't said that it happened when it evolved but rather when its bond with ash was raised to the limit.

Hmm, regarding Greninja's bond (would quote specific posts but meh) I seriously doubt that this bond only occurs at fully evolved Pokemon. Does it mean that if Pikachu and Ash (or any other Pokemon and Trainer) haven't tested their trust and love for each other just because the Pokemon has not evolved to its final form of its evolutionary line? I think not. I mean, it was Pikachu who rejected the evolution, which means that it already trusted Ash back from Kanto (and the bond is obviously really strong).

The speculation about the transformation being a Kalos exclusive thing leaves me with many doubts. First of all, why? Do trainers in other regions love their Pokemon less than the French love merci beacoup baguette? Can't a Haxorus be loved as much ? (despite Haxorus is a weapon of mass destruction). And what do we know about the other transformation that happened many years ago? Was it in Kalos? Was it in another region? Was it in Kalos but with a Pokemon from another region? Was it in another region but with a Kalos Pokemon? All those questions leave me standing here wondering what the hell that Greninja-transformation thing is all about.

And why on earth would Greninja take this appearance mid-battle? Is it something triggered for a little while, like mega evolution? Is it triggered mid-battle and lasts forever? What is going on???

So, yeah... The whole transformation thing has confused me to the maximum point. I understood Pokemon fusion (Kyurem BW) and Mega Evolution much easier when they first leaked and we were speculating about those. DAMN!

I wonder if we're gonna get a new Gym Leader/Elite Four this time. :)

If we're gonna have a prequel/prequels, supposedly Lysandre isn't that bad yet. Play XY again if you don't understand the why. {XD}

True, Lysandre would make a great Gym leader, but of what type? I can only imagine him as a Fire Type leader, which makes me think: What if Lysandre was the Elite 4 Fire leader and after he left to start his plans with Team Flare, then Malva took his place?

I also wish they made the game a bit more interesting regarding the elite 4. I mean, you battle 4 trainers that excell on their Type and have really strong Pokemon, but it is nothing special, it's just a battle. What if this time they take benefit from Lysandre's, Malva's and Team Flare's connection with the elite 4? What if they force the other members to battle for them (or Flare may have already recruited the other 3 elite 4 members and the champion already) and you have to beat them like an Admin battle so that you can get the honour of being a champion as WELL as defeating the evil team?

That would personally keep me reset and play the game over and over and over again.

This is just all really interesting. I mean, yeah, Zygarde is getting inevitable hype for a new game or games, but yet we are still left guessing on what that game will actually be. Another way they could go about it is if they take what Zinnia said about a non-Mega/non-Ultimate Weapon universe and make it a reality. Instead of Team Flare trying to use the Ultimate Weapon, they would try to use Zygarde instead. And, here's where it would get interesting: the result of the climax with Zygarde would result in the creation of the Mega-Evolutions in Kalos... whatever energy is produced from Zygarde's powers would create the Key and Mega Stones that we know of. Do I support this potential plot? Not really... IMO, it would make Kalos' lore feel that much more complicated, but that's just me.

I do think though that they are going to try and tie together ORAS and X/Y somehow. And that damn tree in Sootopolis isn't helping my speculative brain ether.

I'm no against of what you're saying, but I just don't like it if Flare's gonna use Zygarde as a weapon. I prefer if it has a heroic/guardian role as its Pokédex states. I think someone has made a speculation of an early acquirement of Zygarde's form, I like that idea. I really do, I can see it working from Flat > Core > 10% > 50% near plot climax and eventually the perfect form.~

Before the new series poster was published I was certain we're gonna get a prequel/s. The main indicator was a NPC in XY game saying that in the past there was another evil team (Besides Team Flare) looking for something in the Kalos region. But as for now, since Team Flare was shown in the upcoming XYZ series, I find it hard to believe a prequel is due to be released.
