The fact Masuda is one of the co-developers of Pokémon GO, and that we were supposed to get GO information last mont, it seems more than likely that we'll get information regarding that stuff.

Please Game Freak, make us not wait any longer!
On a side note, I'm glad I can watch the direct live this time (in bed)

I thought of that, but...good news, Nintendo of America said that this Direct won't have anything about mobile games and NX, so we can discount Pokemon Go! Could be Pokken, but as someone said, he rarely promotes side-games, if ever.
 
Oh yeah, that's right. I forgot where I read it, but I do remember them stating that there won't be anything mobile or NX- related stuff in this Direct. It's strictly about the 3DS and the Wii U, so I think it's safe to rule out Pokemon GO. If it's Pokemon-related, the likely candidates for this are Pokken and "Z". Actually, that would be awesome if we could get news on both games. I'm not sure how likely that would be, but it would still be nice.

The Nintendo of America Direct site mentions it, not sure if the others do, but at least our Direct won't be having any mobile stuff, and it's safe to assume NX isn't going to be popping up in any of them.

I hope so. Maybe they'll also announce a special Z (as in Zygarde related) event for Pokemon shuffle 3DS version which will allow us to capture the Zygarde formes.
 
Ariga, a designer for the fossilmon, Aegislash, Pangoro,and mothered effin Mega Beedrill, retweeted Masudas tweet with one word , DIRECT! Yeah the stormis definitely coming tonight, I can feel it. I really also hope Ariga of all people retweeting it means something as well, cause from what I remember is that he is a huge fan who finally got to work on the series, and his design work is some the basest Pokemon ajd Mega Evo of this gen, so if he is heavily involved, only the best can come from this wild conjecture. Basically this is me right now:

It could be interesting, but I'm probably doubting it. The alternate Zygarde forms appearing in Shuffle isn't such a bad idea though.
 
Does anyone find it coincidental that the Zygarde event has begun today? I mean, the Direct airs today (actually tomorrow for Japan) and Pokenchi airs this sunday. Zygarde themed week?
 
I think it's Pokemon GO most likely. Or if not, it might be Pokemon Z.

It's not Pokken tournament, the game that we all got tired of. Masuda wouldn't call us to watch twice directs about an old game...

OrAs mentioned the Direct is specifically meant for upcoming 3DS and WiiU games.

Pokken Tournament an old game? It's not even out yet lol, what makes you think that?

I also didn't it as a coincidence, I actually thought it was a hint of either what to expect in corocoro and Pokenchi...yet Corocoro had nothing and Pokenchi is about music unless if that's a red herring. But this is on the exact date not three days later...so maybe ;)...

Im abit confused.
In how long does the direct start?
 
The thing about Pokken... remember that Pokken is a side-game, and Masuda rarely hypes those since he doesn't get involved with them because Game Freak doesn't create those. He was involved with GO, but again, it's already been confirmed that there will be no mobile-related coverage in this Direct.

@janejane6178: In America, it starts at 2 PM Pacific Time. For me in Mountain Time, that puts it at 1 PM today.

It has already many trailers and previews. I don't think that a direct that reveals the release date of it is something that Masuda will make hype for, like he did in his twitter. So it is probably the pokemon GO, but if not, so maybe pokemon dash 2?

Pokemon Go is a mobile game and...well this, "Catch a new Nintendo Direct on Nov. 12 at 2 p.m. PT for updates on upcoming Wii U and Nintendo 3DS releases.

Please note that the presentation will not feature any updates on NX and mobile." (source: Nintendo's official NA site).

And as Wings and others have said Masuda rarely gets involved in the promotion of side games he isn't a part of, so that would kind of discount a Dash 2 or other possible new spin off, unless if Masuda is involved. He likely has his hands busy with Go and 'Z' though...

Why isn't this a thing? Let's make it a thing. Each time we get an announcement or when something awesome happens to us(Shiny encounter, pulling through a battle against odds, ect), we are getting Pokeman'd. Almost like getting Loki'd but it's involving Pokemon.

Speaking of Loki I wonder if Hoopa is based on Loki...if so then perhaps it's Zygarde, Xerneas, and Yvetal's father...at least Zygarde's (mom would be Diancie?). The sundial in Anistar seems to be linked to Diancie and kind of too Hoopa in terms of it's appearance, and in the anime it seems that Zygarde is connected to it.

Or, what if Zygarde is the child/children of Xerneas and Yvetal? The Red and Blue cores ignited that idea in my head. It could've surpassed it's parents.
 
Caught this tidbit on the Japanese site through Google Translate:

"To center the information of the Wii U and Nintendo 3DS software scheduled for release until spring"

From what I could tell, this must be centered on games that are due for release during the first quarter of 2016, right? If we do get our announcement, that would put "Z" on par with a 20t anniversary release.

Gah, that's true, but he also occasionally focuses on Kirby, Zelda, and Mario stuff. Could be related to all three somehow... or just to show off a bit of the new games.

When I took a peek at the site I saw Rainen (next year) and irc Haru (spring), so that seems about right. There was a lot of Kanji in it that I don't know yet, so I didn't try to translate it all.

True but his sole channel is based on Pokemon, he is all things Nintendo but mainly pokemon. So it could relate to all 3, but I'm leaning towards something big for pokemon especially after Masuda's tweet last night.
