As was I, and that was the biggest mistake I ever made. I HATED my first job. Don't ever work in agriculture unless you really like being outside... x_x;

No need to rush it though, unless you really need the money. My cousin is 18 and he's still never had a job before, so don't feel like you're the only one who hasn't had a job~

Meh...the way I see it, we've got the rest of our lives to work. Only get a job if you really need the money and really want to work. Otherwise, just enjoy being young and carefree. XD

I'm gonna put getting a job off till the end of school .... so I can try and focus on my studies a bit, considering that this is my last year and all.

But I should do something over the holidays, since I can't be bothered to do anything else :P

And about saving money .... you should try save all your spare change. Like for example, everytime you have a dollar left over, just put it away in a jar or something - it'll definitely accumalate.

And time definitely flies - I've got one more year of school left Oo

I totally agree with that statement. Definitely enjoy being young while you can! Saying that makes me feel soooo old... XD; The only reason I got a job when I did was because my mom made me get one as soon as I turned 16. I mean, having money is always nice...not that I ever have any <<; But working takes up a lot of time that I would have rather spent being with my friends...

Edit: I do save all my spare change in a container in my room. Well, I did when I was living at home. Now I ususally end up using all my change to help pay for stuff that I buy...

Edit: Yeah, but most teenagers don't need to support themselves. I know there are some that do need to actually pay for everything on their own, but in most cases, teenagers have parents who can buy them most things they need. It's better to just enjoy being young if you can. You really do have the rest of your lives to work...

Sure, maybe 100 years ago when you weren't expected to live past the age of 35, but times have changed and life expectancies increased.
