(Yet Another) Writer's/Artist's Club

Because sleep is essential to good writing.

Yes, true. Espescially sleeping during mid-day hours, at least, for me. ^_^

I need to sleep then, I do my best work from 11 PM-1 AM.

My best hours are more like 12:00 to 3:00, but I haven't added anything to my current fic for a few weeks. I've been working on the thing since November, and it's still not finished -_-. But when it is, I'm going to take out the pokemon characters, revise it, and see if I can't get it pulished; kind of a far off dream, I know, But if it works, I should have no problem getting into a good college.

Yeah, I'm kinda the same way. I really need to continue my EVN fic, but I need a couple new characters and for now I'm out...Actually, mind if I base one on you?

:embarrass Wow, seriously? Sure, I don't mind at all. I'm actually flattered. :)

Thanks, and cool. Right now I'm thinking along the lines of a Sandra Nightweaver-style pilot.

Sanda Nightweaver...not familiar with her. A writer?

A Sonic fanfic character. My friend summed her up in one of his storys as follows:

"See her?"
"Yeah."
"You'll want to watch out for her. She has...
"Lemee guess, 153 kills, a total jerk with a short fuse, major superiority complex, problems with athourity and is far from above shooting down anyone who take one of her targets."
"How'd you know?"
At this point, a nearby hanger exploded. Commander Garret said dryly "I've got one too."

Not quite like that, but kinda similar. Right now you're a mercenary pilot for Rautherion Industries.

A mercenary pilot, eh? Interesting. Can't wait to read it. Do you have a synopsis yet?

Ok i can't help but notice that there are only writers in this club, what happened to all the artists? geeze i know that at least one of you can draw:D

That wouldn't be me.

Anyway, I haven't done a real synopsis or anything, but here goes: The the distant future, Earth has spread far beyond the small borders of her atmosphere. The galaxy is a massive battlefield, controlled mainly by the Galactic Federation, based on Earth and the Polaris, a technologically superior warrior race. The Federation is weakened due to a larg amount of humans turning to piracy, being controlled from the shadows by the Beureau of Internal Investigations, and finally, a rebellion against BII power. In this world, anybody can make it if they have a good ship and better aim.

Enter our heroes, a group of "outlaws" working under contract for the rebels. In reality, they're pilots for Rathurion Industries, a weapons manufacturer with black market ties to the rebellion. The story mainly follows the adventures of this band around the galaxy as the engage in matters both comedic and serious.

The main characters (so far):

Takai Telrunya: Captain of the lead ship, Pharsti. An expert when handling mechs.
Berkut Nightwolf: Ace pilot
Chiron: A telepath with no recollection of his past.
Aki: The narrator of this story, a school friend of Takai and Berkut.
Phoenix: This group's second-best pilot.
FireKame: The callsign of their contact in the rebellion.

And I haven't quite worked out your role completly yet, so you're not on the list.

I can't draw ro save my life; I used to be able to paint, but not lately.

Sounds like a good story. Are you going to send it in to us for publication when it's done?

You know it! I could actually send the firsst few parts in when I'm done getting them from the notebook to the computer.

Alright, sounds good! But I suppose that won't be for a little while since school's starting up for you tomarro...Good luck for the first day btw. I don't know if I'll be online early enough tomarro to wish you luck, so I'll do it now. I really should be, though, since I'm trying to get my sleeping schedule straightened out.

I might be on briefly in the morning, but for maybe 10 minutes max. Thanks for the wishing of well and such.

No problem.

I got through the first, lets see...88 pages of Battle Royal (don't know if there's only one edition; I'm assuming there is); 38 students remaining. Kind of gory for my taste. It's one of the mos violent books I've read. But, it's good. It kinda lets you get to know the characters a bit just before having them slaughtered mercilessly.(That sounds kinda evil, doesn't it?)

Yeah, it is pretty bloody and sickening. It's usually not my taste (I love high fantasy). What got to me more was the motive the government has. You'll see later on.

So the government does have a motive behind such experiments? I think it must have been kinda hard for the author to come up with a good one; I'm interested to see what it is.

Don't want to spoil anything for you, so my lips are now sealed on the matter.
