Hey everyone, first ever post here. I was just thinking about what my team would be if I were an Elite Four member. What would yours be?

    The rules are:

    - One type, although pokemon with two types are allowed

    - Five pokemon in your party

    - Variation on your type is allowed, but it has to be reasonable (for example if I said Dark types, I would be allowed to choose Gengar or Luxray)

That's it! For me, I would probably pick the Normal type.

    Normal Elite Four
    ========================
    1. Blissey - HP and frustration
    2. Miltank - Defense and Rollout
    3. Slaking - POWER
    4. Porygon-Z - Sp. Attacks of different types and also because I just like it
    5. Girafarig - Psychic type to use against those pesky fighting types

Firstly, welcome to PC :) Sadly though, this doesn't belong in Black and White, since this section is specifically for discussion about Black and White only. Therefore, this belongs in Pokemon General because the E4 has appeared within the anime and the manga, so it doesn't just apply to the games.

Also if you're interested, there's a challenges section where you can create challenges for other users, with your rules here, it seems you might be interested in that kind of stuff, so maybe have a look there? Either way, to Pokemon General this goes!

    Flying E4:

    Skarmory - A well-rounded physically defensive pokemon. (Steel/Flying)
Staraptor - An offensive powerhouse with a ton of coverage. (Normal/Flying I think?)
Togekiss - A specially defensive pokemon with useful hax moves and Serene Grace ;). (Normal/Flying)
Dragonite - A mixed tank that solves many coverage problems and tops it off with well-distributed stats. (Dragon/Flying)
Sigilyph - One of the most fearsome defensive powerhouses, once it's set up you can't stop it. :o (Psychic/Flying)

Bug / Grass type Elite Four:

    Leavanny
    Cherrim
    Ninjask
    Whimsicott

    Psychic type.

    Metagross: Steel/Psychic.
    Alakazam: Psychic.
    Medicham: Fighting/Psychic.
    Girafarig: Normal/Psychic.
    Xatu: Psychic/Flying.

I would be Water type and my team would be.

Feraligatr: My beast attacker and strongest Pokemon. Hydro Cannon ftw.
Wailord: Have lots of Hp and rest. Holding Leftovers aswell.
Cloyster: Have high defence and lots of defence raising moves.
Lapras: Perish Song, Plus Block, and Ice moves.
Tentacruel: Poison your team with Poison moves.
Lantern: Paralyzes you team with Electric moves.

    I would definately be a ground type Elite Four member, I'd be no .4 and my team would consist of;

    Golem: Earth Power, Explosion,
Krookodile: Earthquake, Crunch, Dark Pulse, Bulk Up
Xcadrill: X scissor, Swords Dance, Horn Drill, Rock Slide
Sandslash: Sandstorm, Rollout, Iron Defense, Drain Punch
Garchomp: Dragon Rush, Earthquake, Brick Break, Giga Impact
Dugtrio: Dig, Magnitutde, Mean Look, Double team.

    I'd be a Fighting type Elite 4.

Hitmontop - Quick. Top stat Speed

I'd actually go Dark. There's a lot of type variance there.

My lead would be my trusty Scrafty, ever useful, to KO practically anything they throw at me that isn't a physical wall. It'd be specially trained for speed, of course.

Then it'd be Mandibuzz, to breeze through any Fighters that try anything. Bonus points for also taking out bugs, and soaking up damage relatively reliably.

'Course, with a vulnerable-looking Flier out, they'd be sure to try something with an Electric-type. That's when I bust out the Kooligator himself, Krookodile. Any levitators with electric moves will have to face Smack Down.

Now things are getting hairy. I need some sort of physical-attack god to get through a wall-like 'mon. That's when Bisharp brings the big guns. Ok, so he goes down to a fighting 'mon, but hopefully he'll take out any troublemaker at the time before he does.

Finally, for a little variance, something from Gen III - A specially-oriented Cacturne. Dark-types seem to be lacking in Special attackers, so this guy can roll in to take care of special walls with Giga drains and Energy balls, with Dark pulse for good measure.

Anyone who can beat that deserves to win.

Other type choices would be Grass or Psychic.

I'd have to go with Dark.

Drapion to lay out the Toxic Spikes, always. Followed by Cacturn, to pick off those pesky ground types with Needle Arm. Then Spiritomb, cause it may catch some people off guard since balanced teams are not very popular. Follow that with Scrafty to get the Fighting types with Zen Headbutt and many other types because of it's good move pool and power. Then wrap up with Honchkrow to deal with the ever preset Bugs.

Of course, Zoroark is always good with that great ability.
I would love to put some serious effort into something like this, actually...

    Hmmm, Electric Type Elite Four.

Luxray: Wallbreaker, can play as a wall if I'm in a jam.
Lanturn: Potential Wall that's NOT legendary, cuz i can't have those as an E4.
Manectric: Nasty surprise for guys who think they'll kill me with Steels and Grasses, can use Overheat and Flamethrower to show 'em who's boss.
Magnezone: I will OBLITERATE anyone who thinks they can kill me off with Skarmory :) Plus Magnezone serves as an awsome Tank.
Jolteon: Very quick. Can easily sweep any water types with a quick stroke, can also pass over speed to other teamies.
Electivire: Can take care of dragons and stuff, boosts its own speed with Motor Drive. Can also gun them down with awsome physical and special attacks.
