This is more of an opinion and real events thread. Have you ever been judged by your clothes that you listen to a certain music and do you think that your clothes=your music?
    1. Yes i have run into a situation like that. For instance one of my friends when he first met me thought me to listen to boybands and some of the new rock (all that happy crap) and didnt think to well of me. Then he found out i listen to metal and now we are best friends.
    2. No i do not think that way and for the obvious reasons. I mean if i did then well not too many people would be near me.

Well, sometimes. I like upbeat music, and my clothes often have that vibe. But people sometimes guess my music that way, and they're way off.

Yes. I've been judged as one who listens only to indie bands. And it's true xD So yes. At least if you care about your looks, you often dress according to your type of person... and your type of person often listens to a type of music... as in my case, indie stuff.

Meh, I don't know how to describe it without sounding prejudicial. But maybe people who like to dress in a certain way like to listen to a certain kind of music? More so than the other way around.

Imagine one of the Ultranationalists depicted in Call of Duty 4, only with long hair.
I don't fit a cliché, thus have never had anyone judge me (beyond age guessing) by my appearance, let alone my musical taste.

The only assumption anyone could possibly make is that I listen to Königgrätzer Marsch on a daily basis... and that's just humourous.

Considering 75% of my shirts are of bands, my clothes do literrally say what music I listen to. :P

Not even close. I wear sweatshirts/t-shirts/sweatpants almost all the time. Either that or cargo pants/ shorts...I'm fairly certain when people see me walking down the street, they wouldn't guess that I'm listening to hard rock/metal. I guess I just don't give off that vibe, but that doesn't really matter. I like what I like, and I don't think you need to dress a certain way to display what kind of music you like.

No, not necessarily. I mean I'm sure some of my clothes can depict that, but not too often. I listen to all kinds of music; if it's catchy, why not?

I dress pretty plainly, enough so that I doubt it could be associated with any type of music. For the record, I listen mostly to Rock, Pop, Techno, and some Metal. Also game soundtracks/remixes.

I personally think it's kinda fun to surprise people with what I like since I don't follow fashion trends that go along with music.

haha naaah, I dressed all emo sometimes when I get bored, you know, tight pants, and a bandtee, but I listen to classical music such as Chopin, or Bach. Then I'll dressed all gangster, and listent to metal... people can just mistaken :D

I dress weird (bright colors + skirts all the time even if it's snowing) and I listen to "weird" music (J-Pop, K-Pop, hardcore techno, etc.)

I guess in my case it would be true...? XD

I really can't count for anything I suppose... I have at least three songs of every genre known to man on my Zune. @ w@

Yes, all the time, but they just joke around about it. XD

I wear long jackets with those thumb openings and long jeans. That, and any t-shirt I can find.

Sometimes, though I always wear clothes without considering the music I listen to.

I listen to a variety of music genres (J-pop, R&B, Country, Emo etc.) and my clothes do not follow the variation.

I think in several instances, this is the case. For example, when you see those absurd teenagers dressed like they're Compton gangsters, yes, they often listen to that rap/hip-hop sort of music. Then there are times where it's plastered on the shirt right for you—if you're like me—and you wear band shirts most of the time. But for people who don't conform to clichés and don't tend to buy outfits that aren't showing off their love for the music they listen to, then it's rather hard to guess, no?

well i listen to Rock and R&B but i dont really dress like that...
but i do have a rockish image because i weak skinny jeans and black and stuff... people think im a skater for some reason.... oh well..
    so the answer is no

I listen to a lot of different style of music, but I don't think that my clothes reflect that, well, maybe it does, I do wear a lot of different styles of clothes. :P
